  1. Yeah, it can stop raining now....just noticed one of my gutters is clogged. Too much lightning to go out and fix that atm...the line is starting to shift east, but it sure is taking its time in doing so
  2. Storm rolling through here now reminds me of those in the south....low visibility, heavy rain, breezy with the occasional crack of thunder
  3. 90.1/78.6 atm, worst feeling day yet...not much in the way of "bubbling" clouds, most likely we remain dry today, despite the heat and humidity
  4. The most tropical day so far here in Southbury and all we could muster was a 5 minute shower that was more sun than clouds....0.04" Yesterday a few rumbles of thunder and 0.67", glad to see the summer convection shield is just as strong as the winter snow shield...haha
  5. Down here at acorn hill rd ball fields for the beginning of States, pretty comfortable for the kids to start at least. Car says 73⁰....quite cloudy
  6. 89.8/76.5...feels like 102 at 10:37 am. That is pretty impressive for here....
  7. Running a couple degrees ahead of yeaterday, 82.2/73...off a low of 65 and a high of 95 yesterday. Hopefully some rain today, the ground is quite dry and most of the neighborhoods grass is cooked. My clover/grass combo is holding strong and looks the best, lol
  8. Low of 61.9 off of a high of 91.8 yesterday....currently 77.7, should get us to the mid 90s today, unless clouds roll in later
  9. only used 49 kwh yesterday, no a/c used, pool and car took up close to half of it and I still exported 13 kwh back to the grid.... whole house for the win on a day like yesterday. House warmed to 79 by 7 pm, turned the fan on once the outside temps hit 75...was planning on kicking a/c before bed just to lower the humidity but didnt need to, house had already cooled down to 72, this morning it was in the upper 60s with a low of 61. House is warmer today at this point than yesterday, but if the dews remain low this evening. It should be another good night to skip the a/c
  10. 89.8⁰, down to 88⁰ with a steady breeze...definitely the heat is north of here. Still hot though....pool temp back up to 81⁰
  11. 88.9/75 atm on my davis....quite moist, even for my sandy soil. There is a nice breeze though, so still comfortable in the shade
  12. 83/70 @ 10am off a low of 59⁰...gonna be a hot one here for sure
  13. yup.....the least could have been heavy rain with this current batch, but down here nothing but drizzle
  14. Jinxed it...looks like clouds rolling in as we speak
  15. Definitely need some rain before the heat sets in....nice to see clear skies to start today, should help later on
  16. I mean, it has felt like summer...but I haven't used the A/C once, but the pool temp without heating is sitting at 81°. It can still be summer without 90/70 for weeks, this weather is the best of both worlds, keep energy costs down and still enjoy the summer outdoors, who could complain? Just as in winter, lets get a ton of snow with above average temperatures!
  17. 45.7⁰ for the low here.....still waiting on that first "heat" of the season. House is cold this morning, if we can keep the sun for longer than a couple hours, we should warm up nicely.
  18. It is pretty comfortable leading up to that period though....No complaints
  19. Definitely a warmer morning, but still managed 58⁰. Amazing stretch of sleeping weather. Haven't turned on the a/c yet this season, besides making sure it still worked. It has been a rough solar season so far, so it has been nice to bank what electric has been produced at this point. Temp up to 75⁰
  20. 40.6⁰....just a bit too cold here The low dews are great, hopefully continue through the summer.
  21. 1.03", blue skies to the south but still some light rain here....definitely hoodie weather out there at the moment. Just saw forecast is 46⁰ tonight, that's a bit chilly
  22. The fan is in the attic, vent is located near the top of the steps. Open a few windows downstairs and it's sucks the outside air inside, pushing the hot air up and into the attic. With the right attic ventilation it will push the hot air into and out of the attic. Cooling the house and eventually the attic as well. I didn't expect it to work so well, sort of a hard to believe deal, but our neighbors have one, so I got to see it in action before I bought one.
  23. 82/47..... Just installed a whole house fan yesterday....our valley radiates so well, even on hot days with lower humidity, it was almost a no brainer. Wish I was familiar with them sooner. In 2 hours, it took the house from 80 to 70, had to turn it off, it was actually getting too chilly inside by 10 pm last night. We got one that works for our 2600 sqft house and on high only uses around 500 watts.
  24. Oddly our power just went out....hardly ever does, so not sure the issue. Definitely some nice cracks of thunder, but no wind at the moment
  25. Rates have been pushing 6"/hr here...not too bad for a morning in May
