Running the GEFS 850 anomaly on Tropical Tidbits, its fun watching the blues and purples park themselves that last 7 days and showing very little sign of letting up....it seems at least the cold is here for a while, get some snow to fall and maybe some records low temps will follow?
Watching the EURO come in and trying to figure out what we want the first wave on Friday to do. It seems that those who get snow from the first, miss out on the second one. Those that rain Mid Atlantic, see an extended period of snow and heavy...Or it is just a Mid Atlantic winter and it doesn't really matter for us up here....
Scary thing is, when you go through the total snowfall accumulations of all of the EPS, almost half of them look similar to that, and have for 3 or 4 days now. A literal snow hole in SNE. Not saying they are right, but ouch...
For all of the Debbies out there...I took notice and mentioned to the kids on the way to swimming class last evening, it was still noticeably light out at 5:15 pm....Spring is right around the corner
I lived in Middletown, DE for 6 years before moving up here to CT, except for 2009/10 it seemed like the coastal sections got the brunt of the storms....I was always confused, Sussex county was the snow capital of the state. Lol
I'm at home with 3 kids right now....I need something to track besides how many diapers I have left. Growing up in the mid Atlantic region, 12 seasons had less than 20 inches, 6 of those were less than 10". I'm only 35, so I am sort of used to it. However since I moved up here the lowest season was 38ish.
