    Sounds legit. The storms really blew up as they pushed through here, which is in relatively close proximity to Gilgo and Oak.

    Not sure what Upton is seeing for LI, but they remain confident of the threat for the area. Right now, as depicted on current radar, maybe the NS, could get scraped. The southernmost part of the storms are not going to bring much of anything for the area. Hopefully it changes

    State ocean beaches close at 7 during the week, and 8 on weekends. Can’t lay blame on lifeguards when people choose to basically break the law by swimming after the parks close. A tragedy nonetheless.

    Aren’t you on north shore? 16” is crazy , considering I had maybe 5” here in Brightwaters. Maybe I read it wrong

    This could be a better event for the south shore than Tuesday. Maybe not total accum, but much better ratios. Won’t waste qpf to rain either
