    I think it’s going to be location dependent, depending on precipitation type. Looking mostly wet, not white for a large part of LI. Again, location dependent, even on LI

    100% wrong on the no snow on the SS. however I agree that for most of the island, minus the twin forks, it’s going to be mostly rain. Rates not enough to overcome the warm

    I’m in brightwaters, and it’s still snowing, not raining. Granted it’s not accumulating

    A lot of happy people on LI with a bit more snow than what was prognosticated. Recent winters were the complete opposite. currently on the taconic. Not good

    I know I add almost no value in this blog, but IMO this winter to date has greatly outperformed recent winters. Consistent cold, with at least some wintery weather. Even the most minor events, the snow has no issue sticking, and stays for more than a matter of hours. Even if winter were to end tomorrow, I’d take the win.

    What’s different about this storm than what we have seen in the recent past, is that the preceding air masses have been cold. The ground is ample cold, so snow should accumulate very quickly.
