JB has always said that a flip in the pattern usually involves a big storm (duh but whatever). If we're going to flip to a warm pattern in February that's when I'd expect our last chance at a big storm comes...basically your bookend.- 4,130 replies

I think after this coming up week I'll be ready to call it in. I'm holding out hope for next weekend's storm but if it fails to produce I'm calling winter over.

I don't recall, did we have significant blocking for the Monday storm a few weeks ago? I got over a foot of snow with that setup.- 4,130 replies

Jan 21 - 22 Weekend SE VA and Eastern Shore Snow
IronTy replied to stormtracker's topic in Mid Atlantic
Anybody know whether JB still thinks the GFS is underdone on snow totals? Asking for a friend. -
300k is just for the framing members and log walls. The other 600k is basically everything else. Shipping is actually only 2500. I will say they have everything you can think of broken out so there wouldn't be any surprises.

What a biff. Looks like the only stats I'll be padding today are annual rainfall totals. -

Thursday 1/20/22 Stat Padder Discussion and Observations

I'm in. Expecting jackpot right over my house. I can feel it. -
Oh yeah, that bad? I'm having a hard time getting the realtor for the land to even call me back business must be too good I just got pricing back for plans on our "modest" 1700sqft log cabin we plan on building and it was $900K. Not including land. Gimme a break, we really need a stock market crash and soon so these builders come back down to reality. They're drunk on power. Rising interest rates should help us all pretty soon.

That's 5ft of snow. Like Sierra Nevada type shit. Buying the cabin land a year too late... My goal is to have to buy one of those super fancy tracked snowblowers.

I'm no weather expert but man there's a lot of crybabies in this thread. Eta I'm gonna remember this meltdown mess the next time somebody blathers to me about "climo" in SoMD. -

I think we were discussing that last month and how message boards in general are a dying breed. Now it's social media which sucks.
