  1. Not in the US, but just north of there. Carman Manitoba once had a dewpoint of 86.
  2. Just non existent afternoon pop ups this year. What a dud of a season. It’s starting to hit me as it’s already July 22nd. Rain chances in the next 5 days disappeared and so far the 80% chance of rain has went just south of us.
  3. Big line came through around noon. Tornado warned. Very quick. Forecast had a 2nd line that never showed up. Picked up 0.28” imby. We haven’t had a rain or storm event that has given us >0.75” since May 18. Two entire summer months.
  4. For parts of MI and ON their doesn’t seem to be a lot of optimism for more than an inch of rain in the next 12 days or so.
  5. This is going to be tough to reconcile. Today was going to be a rainout with the potential for severe storms. Where is either one?
  6. Not much thunder and lightning this year imby. Most of the time we get something moving in it has been real early in day or after dusk.
  7. That time frame we hit 102 in Knoxville Tennessee. 100 for 3-4 straight days. I remember it was dry leading up to that. That caused a drastic shift in plant populations. Bermudagrass took over and many tall fescue landscapes left for good. I think of my time in TN as pre July 2012 and post July 2012.
  8. Where is all my rain?? We were locked in for rain Friday - Monday. 4 straight days. Now we just got rain yesterday evening......and that’s it? Was supposed to get rain during the night. Supposed to get it today. Sunday. And Monday. How did that forecast just turn into partly cloudy and a high of 80.
  9. 0.8” here. But man, about 30 miles NW of me they had to have picked up 3+ inches. Just getting pounded there.
  10. We’ve seen it here too. Toronto got blitzed yesterday by a big one that caused some flash flooding. Nothing here in the last 2 weeks. The sound of crunch is getting old when walking on (what used to be) grass.
  11. Another 90 burger here at 1pm. Couple of lower clouds for that nice 60 second reprieve every once in a while.
  12. 90 on the button here. I’m going to inflate the pool and lay in it like a beached whale.
  13. This is what a typical lawn looks like here. Sodded 2+ years ago. Only thing green are weeds. Low to mid 90s next week. Chance of rain next Friday. Drought is the theme here. But heat is making a run for it.
  14. I lived in Tennessee for 7 summers. This forecast is a copy and paste from that time.
  15. Parts of the interior NE and Southern ON may not get a drop of rain for the next 10 days. Scorched earth, water bans, and fire restrictions.
  16. The 5-10 day forecast was pure awesome. Very humid. Light winds from the SW. moderate risks for good afternoon t-storms almost daily. Wiped away. Mundane. Rock ya asleep.
  17. 42 degrees this morning. Stiff breeze by 9 am. Dry air. Punt all 3 of them. Where is my gulf air?
  18. Broadly speaking. When the Bermuda high sets up shop over the SE, what does that usually mean for the Great Lakes?
  19. I enjoy the light angles this time of year. From about May 7 to about August 1 my yard gets enough sun to form a dense canopy. I live in suburbville where most of the shade comes from houses.
  20. 78 degrees in Timmins Ontario. 75 in Ottawa. 73 in Montreal. 75 in Quebec City. Meanwhile - Kitchener, Guelph, and Toronto haven’t hit 70 yet this year. Edit: Sault Ste Marie and Owen Sound also hit 70+ today. This has to be a first.
  21. Today briefly hit 63-64. Nice pleasant surprise. Looks like 72 hours of mostly clear skies. Im calling Thursday as our first 70 degree day. Going to get the fireball on ice.
  22. We gave her a run today! Highest temp of the year.
  23. I’m going to switch my vacation days. Tuesday was supposed to be great. No way in heck I’m going to take Tuesday off from work now. Went from 71 degrees to 51 degrees. I’ll take off that following Monday instead.
