  1. Have to agree . I just don’t see this happening at this point. Better off to clear this out and take transitional chances. Pacific ruining it.
  2. Or the opposite too...Orlando was sitting at 81 degrees 18z Friday if I recall correctly. Anything can happen at this point. We need to look at the trends and blends at this point without any bias. I’m as guilty as the next guy too.
  3. That’s no way to treat one of our Triangle brothers .
  4. Looks like the Canadian delays the strong core of cold. That doesn’t work for most of us. We will see what the European says and see what the ensemble trends are to get a better gauge.
  5. Just saw that. Looks like the cold will finally win out by Saturday then a disturbance. I’ve seen this scenario play out before. In general, it takes artic air to make life interesting east of the mountains.
  6. I just don’t see this being a big deal for most on this forum. Hopefully Bornagain can score here but this whole thing is iffy to me.
  7. Hopefully you get something BullCity, I am just on the other side of 85 so it’s definitely a no go. I m just looking for next weekend. If that doesn’t happen, I want 70-80 degrees.
  8. I will be interested in the 12z suites for sure and look forward to everyone’s thoughts.
  9. I love to read both of your posts but I think Bull City got you by a nose with his analogy.
  10. It rarely snows and accumulates in southeastern NC but it averages out to about an inch in Wilmington. That’s where I grew up. I actually averaged more during my time there. In 1973 we got about 16 “ total for season. We officially got like 4-5 in 1980 (it was over my car in drifts so that was suspect). And, we got like 3 inches in late March 1983. After I left, they got like 15 inches one Christmas in 89 or 90.
  11. How far north in Durham County are you Bull City? I’m right on the Durham/Wake line about 3-4 miles north of Brier Creek.
  12. Light snow falling in Chapel Hill via weather cam so it will start here soon.
  13. It would be fun but it is a real long shot to get anything more than wet mix here and I’m 5 miles north of RDU.
  14. What do you see back-side Bull City for the Bull City? Are you talking Monday evening or so? There is a shot at a dusting tomorrow evening that saw earlier.
  15. It was a quick shot of snow on 6z European, but could stick nice. Too early. It would be best to get a big slug into the low dew points to maximize.
  16. Snow, snow snow....that’s all we ever get is snow.
  17. I hope you get something this time. You just never know with these things.
