  1. Raining and 37 in Concord NC.... I saw the "confirmed reports" of sleet above and almost broke a leg getting the window up... then realized they were from hours ago. And probably not real anyway.
  2. THIS.HAPPENS.EVERY.SINGLE. WINTER. Remember last year how the models were so wack? And ended up with two 3" snow events imby... stop freaking out.
  3. Was only 6yrs old and can remember it being SOOO COLD!! Seems like my grandmother got snowed in with us too! Lived in Rockwell in Rowan County att.
  4. Well... can't wait for the ensembles to flip back in our favor!!! Love reading weenie posts and especially those who have the knowledge to explain them... weeee
  5. I remember when I was living In Bucks County PA just above Philly we had a super wet wet snow event on Halloween day I believe. Leaves hadn't all fallen and I can remember the limbs of the trees cracking and it literally sounded lime a gun fight outside for hours. I enjoyed it up until that. Then was a hit freaked out. Not to mention it cost 3k+ for cleanup afterwards.
  6. If your interested in thundersnow. The Santa Fe Junction Kansas City Railcam on YouTube has awesome thundersnow at 04:53.30 CST
  7. So the energy around texas and Arkansas l, and the energy popping up in the gulf...I should expect all that to dry up as the day progresses? Wow. Interesting.
  8. Agree 100000% I love thunderstorms but abhor the heat and humidity. I would do well at about 5000ft in our mountains. I want to always have a breeze with days no warmer then 68 and summer nights around 50. That's my perfect summer wx.
  9. WBTV was about it last night but this morning AL Conklin said maybe the mountains would see a FEW flakes mix in with rain. Lolol I'm over this winter... unless something big comes our way I am signing off.
  10. WBTV surprised me this evening. Has precip starting around 1-3am Sunday morning. Showed 2 models both with some wintry precip for CLT. No mention of amounts.
  11. Ditto. However by Saturday I expect to see my perennials start to creep a bit. I mean 65 2 days straight. Heck its already 58 right now.
  12. Good lord.. we are still just a bit less then 100hrs from onset! Hello?? Have you forgot last week's insane back and forth the models were doing regarding Friday's event? Hell, the Mets in Charlotte didn't get the forecast right until halfway through the storm.. lol..
  13. I'm in Cabarrus County right where the 2.3" was reported. I measured in 4 different places. 2.7"..2.9"...3.1"... and 3.3.. for 3inches. Beautiful event period!!
  14. Snow is ending in Concord. Solid 3" event. Started approx 7pm. Ended approx 12am. Check please!
  15. Most beautiful snow I've seen in a good 10yrs over the past 2hrs. Wasn't expecting this at all... you all in the Triangle have a looonnng event still unfolding. Enjoy and congrats!
  16. No argument. Your post was pretty tacky. Ive been in whiteout storms as well.. Presidents day 2002 in Philly (23" snow) ,Rochester, Portland Maine...
  17. Concord snowSTORM. Sorry for the poor quality.. closing in on 1". Hope to pull out 3".. I'll be happy as hell!
