  1. In terms of impact, I'm thinking this won't even be in the top 3 storms of the summer here in northern CT.
  2. And there's still no evidence of significant strengthening, so... wagons east.
  3. Agreed. I could have bought into that possibility yesterday, but the window is quickly closing on significant intensification.
  4. So we have plenty of libations to assuage the boredom of watching a breezy rain storm? I got the generator out and stocked up on gas, but I'm thinking it was wasted effort at this point.
  5. It's a disaster in Enfield. I hopped in the car and was blocked in all directions by trees and power lines down.
  6. Isn't there like an infowars forum you could slither off to for your hot takes? My apologies that I pop into a weather forum and get annoyed when it's a covidiot convention instead.
  7. I'd rather read you losers get your weather calls wrong than get your pandemic calls wrong. There should be a separate forum for this nonsense.
  8. Was outside folding up some awnings when that passed, I had to take cover from flying tree debris. It's calmed considerably now.
  9. Just went for a quick walk in Enfield, CT, and the smoke has gotten significantly worse here. I can feel the irritation in my eyes & sinuses.
  10. Wow, what a gust in Enfield, CT. No clue on the wind speed, but I've never seen my windows bow in like that before in all my years of living here.
  11. I grew up in sleepy little Berlin. I'm shocked at the development happening around both the 290 and 495 on/off ramps.
  12. TSwift sleeps a little better tonight.
  13. I was just working outside in a t-shirt on Christmas Eve, fantastic! The serenade of snow melting off the roof is the cherry on top.
  14. There haven't been that many new additions to this community since the EasternWX days... is it possible some of us are aging out of winter?
  15. I sat in the dark for a full week after that storm.
  16. 94/68. Feels like Florida, grass looks like Arizona.
  17. Great, great Morch day out there today. Birds are singing, hints of green are starting to show up... good stuff.
  18. The beginning of spring training means we officially get to start whispering "sun angle" in snow threat threads.
  19. Just like this winter, several posters have retreated to their corners bruised and bloody, trying to catch their breath. Personally, I'd like to be tracking some toasty days as we approach Morch, but it looks like SNE is riding with "meh" for the next couple of weeks.
  20. It's ticking down to the end of winter's third quarter and the Coldinistas are down big. They're looking for Tom Brrrrrr-ady and James "Snow" White to walk through the door, but the pattern doesn't favor it.
