  1. 47! The previous run had it snowing and 18 degrees on Tuesday! What the Hell is going on?
  2. Models aren't too great for this week from overnight. -NAM offers best chance of snow for Thursday-Friday, but temps are above freezing the whole time, then NAM doesn't drop much cold in, in fact keeps temperatures above freezing quite often on Saturday into early Sunday. -GFS has rain for Thursday-Friday, then cold and nothing basically for the next week. -Euro has rain mostly for Thursday-Friday, cold, nothing Sunday at all, a sneaky Tuesday event that shows 3-6", then really cold back half of week.
  3. Total for Pittsburgh ended up at 8.9" after that burst last night.
  4. I hope you are correct. Definitely still early, and really the storm can only come north. I’d love to see an overrunning event with this really cold air coming up. It would be amazing.
  5. Yeah, that's my take away. Pretty decent low placement, hopefully produces for us, because the cold is definitely there.
  6. And no real snow to boot. I'd trade the bitter cold if it meant more snow, but now we have less snow and less cold, lol.
  7. Euro looks to have screwed us on the 12z for Sunday, and pulls the really cold air away. Just regular cold now. Boring.
  8. Hopefully Thursday-Friday doesn't eat it all away. If we keep it through that, then we got it for a while, and hopefully add to it generously. Anybody worried we miss out on all the threats this upcoming week to ten days, lol.
  9. Just a question on this map. Looking at the storm signal it has, how can it only produce this much snow? The snow looked heavy, and granted it did look like a fast mover, but this seems low overall, for everywhere.
  10. Official measurement is 6.1” (so far). 4 storms of half a foot or more this season. Hopefully a 5th next weekend.
  11. That's what I thought from that map. Thanks. Should surpass that 6" mark for the fourth time this season.
  12. What's the officially NWS total? I heard 4.5" as of midnight for yesterday, but they haven't given a more recent total, at least that I've seen.
  13. Still surprised that the primary made it directly west of us in Eastern Ohio, and we still have snow. Weird.
  14. Despite this January being about 2 degrees warmer than normal, it totally lacked extreme temperatures. The highest we made it to was 49. The first time since 2003 that January failed to reach 50, and the first time since 2010 that any month failed to reach 50 degrees. Doesn't look like the foreseeable future will make it there either, so we're going to go a while without feeling that warm.
  15. Pretty amazing they are already mentioning it, considering the Pittsburgh NWS rarely likes to mention snow even as it's snowing, lol.
  16. Next Monday morning GFS has the air temperature at -10, high of 4-5! Euro Monday has air temperature down to -5, only peaking in the low to mid single digits, then down to -12 for Tuesday, with a wind chill of -28 and high of 7! Wednesday -13 up to 10. -12 and -13 would be the coldest in many years, probably since the all-time record in 1993.
  17. The weather on the news thios morning was interesting for Sunday. They had a high of 22 and a low of 6 (near 0 M0onday morning) with snow, not snow showers. If we could get heavy snow at those temperatures, wow!
