  1. Still surprised that the primary made it directly west of us in Eastern Ohio, and we still have snow. Weird.
  2. Despite this January being about 2 degrees warmer than normal, it totally lacked extreme temperatures. The highest we made it to was 49. The first time since 2003 that January failed to reach 50, and the first time since 2010 that any month failed to reach 50 degrees. Doesn't look like the foreseeable future will make it there either, so we're going to go a while without feeling that warm.
  3. Pretty amazing they are already mentioning it, considering the Pittsburgh NWS rarely likes to mention snow even as it's snowing, lol.
  4. Next Monday morning GFS has the air temperature at -10, high of 4-5! Euro Monday has air temperature down to -5, only peaking in the low to mid single digits, then down to -12 for Tuesday, with a wind chill of -28 and high of 7! Wednesday -13 up to 10. -12 and -13 would be the coldest in many years, probably since the all-time record in 1993.
  5. The weather on the news thios morning was interesting for Sunday. They had a high of 22 and a low of 6 (near 0 M0onday morning) with snow, not snow showers. If we could get heavy snow at those temperatures, wow!
  6. Last night we had salt trucks go up and down at least 6 times. This morning, maybe once.
  7. Really surprised in this set up that the warm tongue held off for the vast majority of the area. Rare event in storms like these.
  8. Had a decent burst with larger flakes for a few minutes. Back to very small ones.
  9. If that band over Washington would just move north. It looks pretty intense. It doesn’t seem like anything is moving.
  10. Looked at the dew point and it was 27. That should be too dry. Is it higher in the atmosphere? Doesn’t seem like the models picked this up well. Even the ones that showed some, weren’t too good with it.
  11. Shame of it is, we're always told the best rates are just north of that line. Too bad there's nearly nothing north of the line.
  12. If it happens no, but I haven't seen a flake fall in over an hour easily.
  13. NWS point and click says 5-10" total through Monday day, Still mentioning snow likely Monday night also. We'll see.
  14. Is it relying out a big coastal total for us? Just seems unlikely at this point.
  15. It looks like the radar is drying up. Was it modeled that way and where would these bands be coming from?
  16. Very disappointing. Looks like a big whiff. 3-4" might be too much.
  17. TWC point and click is 5"-13", so really narrowed down there. NWS still has the range at 3-4", weird.
  18. We have been pretty cold here the last few days, too. Last night was 8 degrees so that ground should be ready for some snow to stick.
