  1. Don't the models lose the storms around this time only to bring them back around 4-5 days? Just trying to find a path to a storm at this point, lol.
  2. Interesting for a supposed great pattern I was hearing about elsewhere. Maybe the pattern is right and the models are wrong, or maybe the reverse. We kind of know how this goes though. We can only hope for the best.
  3. Can't help but feel this pattern is either going to be cold and dry (east coast cashing in), or just a total bust (warmer and wetter than expected).
  4. Good for cold, but they don't mention snow. At least it's one crucial ingredient needed. https://weather.com/forecast/national/news/2022-11-29-december-temperature-outlook-forecast-united-states
  5. I will say, still not thrilled with the GFS and Euro outputs. Definitely colder, which is good, but suppressing decent looking chances so far. That 12-12 storm is close though, wouldn't take much.
  6. The newest GFS and Euro look better, but still rather underwhelming. Good steps though. The storm on the 12th is almost there on the GFS, really bad L placement for that one right now.
  7. Pretty bleak through the entire GFS run, obviously can't take the long range seriously, but nothing really to even watch at this point. Some rain events, but that's it. Euro, pretty bad too, lol.
  8. Ugh, the CPC outlook for the next two weeks looks bad.
  9. So, thunderstorms currently. When's winter supposed to come back?
  10. According to the CPC, next two weeks don't look great for cool weather.
  11. Absolutely, I hope we get the wintry pattern throughout December. However, I don't want to waste it all too early in the month.
  12. I agree, in a month it definitely will lol. Weather Channel does show us with a cooler than normal December and just on the cooler side for January. Don't look at February.
  13. Oh, yeah, missed the timestamp. Still time to trend better, but usually once it goes warm, so it goes.
  14. We're at 2.2" of snow for the month just .2" off of average. Not a bad start.
  15. NWS Pittsburgh @NWSPittsburgh · 17m Our official snowfall today for Pittsburgh is 1.6 inches! Our average first 1" snowfall is about December 4th, so we beat that by a few weeks. In fact, an inch of snow this early has only occurred 4 other times since 2000. Snow weenies, rejoice!
