    Got a severe storm to my NE currently. Who ever is living in Taunton (cant remember their username) is about to get hit pretty hard.

    As a severe weather enthusiast I hope I get a direct impact before the season ends. As someone who lives here though, I really don't want to have to deal with no power for an extended period of time, which is exactly what would happen during such an occasion.

    Its also way more west than Irene was so maybe even less than that. At least for me. Even Sandy barely affected me.

    We do need it. Hopefully we get high winds too since one of the things on by bucket list is to experience hurricane force winds in person.

    I hope so because the vast majority of past severe storms have either completely avoided me or weakened considerably before hitting. Its like there is a protective dome of some sort covering my area. Haha Heck in the past many severe storms have dissipated before reaching me just to reform to my south.
