    I agree. I was going to mention the Canadian but I got a little lazy. It's not ultimately a cutter look, but the primary makes its move much farther west and makes it too far north before transferring. Big differences out west, though...

    If the 0z Euro was a blip in an otherwise cutterier scenario, then yeah...GFS being relatively on its own isn't cool. But if the Euro sticks with its 0z idea of the energy sliding soth, then we have two relatively different camps and we have to wait to see which one blink first.

    But that's a snapshot of one specific point in time nearly two weeks away on an op run. Run it for 12z, March 5 and you'll get a different result. There's no useful information to gather from it.

    I'm confused...you just posted a trend gif of one specific hour of an op run at nearly two weeks away which shows only the latest run being appreciably warmer in the South than the previous three. Temps are honestly pretty steady in our area, if that's even worth anything. Are you expecting to actually glean something from this?

    I prefer to grow hardneck garlics, which requires extended cold spells to properly split into cloves, so I'm hoping that some of the cold we got in December will help with that. My garlic really struggled last year, so hopefully this mild winter doesn't screw me again!

    I'm honestly happy for them. Folks out West can really use a steady dumping to get the water levels back up again. Consistent flooding rains aren't great, of course, but it's better than staying dry as a bone.

    Got my seeds started indoors on Saturday: San Marzano, Cuore di Bue, and Pomodoro Squisito tomatoes, jalapenos, lettuce, broccoli, mache, basil, and parsley. I'll also direct-sow some spinach and more lettuce and mache in 3-4 weeks and will sprinkle some other herb seeds once the warm weather comes. I don't have a huge garden, but I make the most of what room I've got!

    That's what I'm saying. The rubber band is going to snap at some point, but until we have a reason to think it's going to, then I'm sticking with persistence. Huge ridge in the West in the summer and SER in the East in the winter. If we go moderate Nino in a favorable location, then things may change next winter, but I don't know...I just don't see a reason to think this summer will be particularly hot.
