    This winter will set a record for how many head fakes the models threw at us. Very annoying watching potential go down the drain with every model run leading right up to go time. Did that a lot this winter. Won't miss that one bit.

    I hope model output improves next winter. I wasn't impressed with the amount of changes in the 3-5 day period. Sometimes even inside 3 days. Need to do better.

    Man the CMC is like a mini hurricane. Not boring. Lets hope it happens.

    Oh I agree. Thermals are garbage but then what model has perfected that? It does get credit for track from like 6 days out. Most other models had nothing or congrats Flemish cap.

    Looks like the fv3 gfs might have another feather to stick in it’s cap. Had the right idea of a hugger. Definitely seems like it has improved in the last month.

    That’s some pretty chilly air coming in before storm #2.

    I seem to remember the gfs-fv3 sniffed out a storm a few systems back where it was the first model to see the eventual track. Others join in later. Can't recall the date as I think it was a snow to rain event. This could be it's second coup. We'll see

    I love how there is a parade of coastal storms progged in the long range...now that we don't have the cold to work with.

    Yup, include NNE and Quebec in that group too. Mother nature spreading the wealth. Been a few years at least for those folks.

    Might score a couple of inches of glop. Not expecting much as of now.

    No cold air, sloppy incomplete phase, another s/w trucking off to Quebec. Think we have seen this before. Hard to get snow with that setup. Still a few days to sort out the deets.

    I'd take a repeat of last summer...in a heartbeat. Loved the warmth even if it came with the dews.

    There is nothing memorable about this winter...nothing. Even in some of the crappier winters there was atleast something exciting that happened. This year? None... zero. Once this goes in the rearview mirror(hopefully soon) winter 2018-19 will probably never get mentioned again. On to spring.

    I’m having the same problem. Only way I could band aid it was to go to the bottom of the email and go to post. Then in the web site at the last post click on following. That opens the bubble where I had to select do not send notifications. Every time a new topic is started, I have to do the same thing all over again. PITA. Tapatalk settings have no effect.

    Hell of a lot better than the rock. I was there for a visit and couldn't wait to get the hell out of there.

    All depends on how the weather gods feel. Could be March could be June. I prefer the former.
