  1. Sink or swim time for the euro. Getting inside 5 days too. Pretty much no other guidance has this s/w that strong. Will it fold like a cheap tent?
  2. Almost whiffs me here too although I’d roll the dice with that look. This could be another for St. Nick.
  3. Wow sweet run for up here. Wintery week shaping up. May finally get to run the blower.
  4. Tasty. No complaints here. See what the rest of the suite shows.
  5. Nice to see the euro on board. Very similar track to the ukie.
  6. Yes we do. I’m itching for a nice blowing and drifting snowstorm. Maybe this will be it. Been a while here since I had one. Snow has been of the wet and sloppy kind lately.
  7. I hate to say it but the German was kinda first to sniff out this flattening trend. I’ve been following this system for a few days now since I wasn’t in the game for much wintery weather out of the current storm. Every model can find a nut at some point.
  8. Nice to see a possible storm actually start trending better as we get closer vs the usual worse trend. Hope it keeps going in that direction. Still work to be done.
  9. Yup i have been noticing subtle signs of it trending that way. Icon has been leaning that way too. This might turn into a sneaky event if trends continue. Nothing else to watch.
  10. Looks like we are stepping back into a gradient pattern with the best snows in far northern sections. Kinda like last year. Hopefully it's only for the first couple of weeks in Jan and after, we return to having chances.
  11. Still 10” isn’t bad. Nice Christmas miracle. That track/trajectory was something though. I bet YYT doesn’t get too many snowstorms from that angle of attack. Funky patterns produce funky storm tracks. Neat.
  12. Try clearing your cache. Worked for me. How much you got down? I see round two is about to hit ya.
  13. Snow pack obliterated here. Temp 55F with winds gusting to 60mph. Had solid cover for over a week so nothing to complain about.
  14. Different track. Which makes a big difference. Juan can in from the Atlantic on a south to North direction. Damaging winds made it much further inland. Dorian can in on a sw to ne direction. Damage was confined to the coast. Euro was too deep but Dorian definitely got some extra juice when it started to go ET. The NW winds on the backside of the storm were no joke.
  15. wow is that another threat in the long range? I know it's a long way off but that is concerning.
  16. Thanks. Well I found out that my site is terrible to capture wind data. I have too many obstacles. I need to raise my anemometer. The airport recorded gusts to around 60mph which seems about what I experienced. Just a strong Nor'easter here but a long the coast is where the damaging stuff happened.
  17. Got power back. 26hrs without but was expecting worse. Not much damage at my place. Just far enough inland to avoid the strongest wind gusts. Didn’t get pics but there are lots in the net. I like this one.
  18. Yeah Dorian drinking some of that extra tropical booster juice. I notice that strange absence of clouds and thought maybe sting. Pretty cool. Maybe I can catch some of that later.
  19. I see NHC just upgraded back to a cat 2. This storm is toying with my emotions. Anyway conditions here are blustery with occasional strong gusts thrown in. I’d say sustained in the 25-30mph gusts in the 50’s. Worst is yet to come. Rain is torrential now. Falling in white sheets. I’m inland so I suspect conditions on the coast are much worse. So far one power bump but still holding in my area. Lots of others have lost theirs. 120k and climbing. Will post back when things change.
  20. Looks like a tad bit of good news. Dorian no longer gets to cat 2. Landfall a shade east of the city it looks like. Euro too west perhaps. It’s so calm outside now. Very eerie knowing what’s on the doorstep.
  21. I bet surge in the harbour will equal or rival Juan. I know it’s a bold statement but that’s what I’m thinking. Especially with a south wind. If it tracks just west of the city.
  22. Well the technical aspect will be determined later but that track correction west is killer. I know I’m splitting hairs but a jog east of me would put me in a more favourable wind direction. South wind is right off the lake. No bueno.
