IDK man.... As we found out last winter and this winter, just a few small things made a huge difference in what happened in our weather. If those few small things went in a different direction we would have been talking about a whole different season this year with a lot more snow. So it's so hard to say next year is going to be a ratter or not. I've learned to not go with any prediction even when we get to November as things do change. Here's to hoping for a better winter. 2024-2025

I will be the first to admit that I absolutely love the snow and winter. But I will say I'm a fan of every other season too. It just so happens that winter is my most loved ( and trust me, I'm alone in my house when it comes to that as my husband, my daughter, and my mother-in-law all are not a fan of winter, but my daughter does love a good snow storm. Lol ) If We could have a solid December through March of winter, cold and snow. I'd be all for it. But once March is done, I'm ready for spring and heading into winter. Each season leads us into the next which gets us ready for when we come to winter again. That's just my take on the whole thing.

Hear that Kev. I guess your not getting your epic, damaging winds. The tree's have been saved.

I must be seeing and watching weather for another part of the country because I don't see anything that talks about damaging and wild weather for Monday around here.

Well, this has been pretty consistent on the models over the last several days for the 20th time frame. Will see what happens then. There was a storm we had in the March 21st to 23rd time frame in 2018 that dropped it decent among the snow in the tri-state area, especially New York City South. There is also a couple of others years ago that dropped a good amount in the Northeast.

These maps have always been pretty conservative ( IMO ). So what it's showing for us is actually somewhat encouraging for the possible colder weather coming in. Time will tell

I remember it too. I was nine at the time. My brother's sister and I still lived in lower Westchester. My dad picked us up and brought us up to his house in Fairfield, I remember all the snow everywhere. But then it melted in like 2 days lol. At least that's what I remember.

It's kind of cool watching that storm coming up today from the south. It really looked somewhat tropical coming into North Carolina with the spin.

Exactly. If this was a different year for the different pattern, I would not be saying that. I remember six or seven years ago I lived in Avon, we had several aprils in a row where we had snow, sometimes 5, 6, or 7 in. The patterns just not warranting snow. Is it 100% out of the question for the rest of the month, no. But I'm truly not banking on it.

I don't think it really matters whether it's a cutter or not anymore. Pretty much out of the season of snow except for those few surprises. Just more rain lol

I second being in th minority. Yeah... The intensity of the Weather is awesome... But me personally do not want the " Intense damage from Wind or Ice ". If you want that... Then enjoy the damage to your house..lol

Which is more a reason why we may see a blizzard now..lolol

All he cares about is an ice storm of the ages. He wants his house encased in 3" thick of ice. Hell, he might look like the new Jack Nicholson from The shining where he's frozen at the end

Now what does it equate to is a different story. A lot of it will be rain, but some of it can be in the form of snow ( or frozen ) And if we get it just right, who knows.....

I see them at least two to three times a year here. I've saw a pair once and then individuals several times. We have a lot of woods around us.

I say a bunch of us just hop on a plane and head out there. Went to place out for the next week. I would die and go to heaven

So is there any way of knowing if we'll get rid of the PAC jet for next year? I know we'll be heading into a La Nina. The question is strength. But not sure about the other part of the equation mentioned above?
