  1. They took my MoCo reverse dollop away. Sad.
  2. Well it's 343 PM. The NAMs are out and the 12km didn't look too terrible for the plateau west. Now what? Too early for booze and all hope isn't 100% lost yet, at least for me. I guess it's watch the webcams time. Here's some snow near AMZ just east of Memphis: https://smartway.tn.gov/traffic?features=incident,traffic,cameras&position=35.13802557,-89.4291555,13
  3. I wish I could have a drone I could legally fly up to 500mb at times like this, lol, for my own private soundings.
  4. Careful Tellico, you're gonna pull me back off my ledge...
  5. I'm thinking even on the edge of the plateau on Morgan County here I'm SOL. 37/25. Expect John and Cumberland county crew to do better though. If this does flop for me, what a flop. Powdery high ratio snow all day yesterday with CAA, to rain and 33 this evening. 1030+ arctic high over the Great Lakes and a low of 15 overnight. Apparently going with the warmest model is just a good rule of thumb for areas south of Canada now. The NAM even tried to come around for a few runs, lol.
  6. I think they’ve just lucked out wrt cloud cover today.
  7. It ain't too far from the truth, lol. I thought I took a pic of that a few weeks ago in Kingsport, but I didn't, so I had to improvise.
  8. They firing up that torch on Jared drive? For those of you who don't know, Kingsport has a giant propane heater they fire up if snow is threatening. Quite effective.
  9. Monterey is at 30, so that makes me feel a little better about my 28, lol
  10. Selfishly pulling for teh para GFS with all I got, lol: Clouds have moved back in here. We jumped up to 28, lol after 17 at day break. DP c. 21 in my area.
  11. 12z NAM still ticking south (if just barely) past 5 runs:
  12. Going to start trying to do some timelapses, now that I have a tripod. experiment one, hoping to catch some of the red clouds this AM:
  13. Looking carefully at that, I could see a few ways that pixeled area could be taken. Perhaps I have angered a MRX met.
  14. That was my "hedgin my bets" post, here is my "embrace the snow weenie" post: 6z para GFS keeps even Knox and Loudon counties all snow.
  15. One thing I'm not super enthused about is that it looks like the trough is starting too tilt a wee bit earlier than I would like. You can see the orientation of the lift go from ENE to NE between 11PM and 6AM I looks to me like that might promote a little more sunshine in eastern valley areas than we would like. Not saying its a deal breaker, but I don't think it's ideal either. It could be I'm a little jumpy too, lol.
  16. Honestly not sure, but that could be something that is happening.
  17. The 18z Euro's evolution: Is it starting to sniff out some end game action from the left over energy with the trough?
  18. Might be a NAMing incoming. Big jump on the SREF ARW members east between 15z and 21z 21z: 15z: SREF NMB members look pretty similar to me to 15z, (which was closer to the above, 21z ARW)
  19. Yeah it looked a little SE to me, but it's been so close the past 4 runs I couldn't tell for sure.
  20. Already below my low of 19, at 18. If I'm counting rain drops tomorrow, it won't be through lack of the HPs effort. Arctic air still squeezing out moisture even as the sky clears. This video is looking SE and the sky has already cleared across the valley: I don't know that I can remember a situation like this. Arctic air sweeping in, moisture coming back tomorrow. Skies are clearing and we should get some hours of radiational cooling before the high clouds move back in.
