  1. I hope not. That would be extremely unusual to have Cookeville get 0.65" of ice and Crossville just get rain though.
  2. If that verified in Cumberland County it would be our second ice storm in 6 years of over an inch of ice :/
  3. That's an odd looking setup. Are the "clear" areas in the middle part of the state snow or something? Or a warm nose with cold rain?
  4. A hazy sunrise before work this morning. Now it's cloudy again.
  5. Yeah believe it or not mine used to go out more when I lived in town compared to living in the woods here lol. Sometimes I'll have power but a next door neighbor will be out due to being on a different grid that's not part of the 3 phase
  6. Here too. Luckily our power almost never goes out here due to the three phase that runs to a nearby business. The only times I can remember it going out for more than an hour or so was the 2015 ice storms and the tornados last March.
  7. Nice pics! Did you ever get your power back? Ours was only off for 1.5 hours luckily.
  8. We had some freezing fog earlier I guess and it made the trees look even cooler here
  9. It's been foggy and cloudy here ever since it quit this morning. Power just came back on as well luckily.
  10. This happens a lot near Crossville. Usually the Western parts of the County where the Plateau starts get double what the town proper gets. It's like the snow just smacks in to the edge of the Plateau and then spreads what's left eastward from there. Monterey and Cookeville is a great example of this. Monterey has had 4+ inches of snow many times when 10 miles away in Cookeville there is none or a dusting. It's crazy to me that they are in the same school system with how different the weather is.
  11. Power just went off here finally. And with that I'm gonna take a nap
  12. Kinda glad I don't have many trees around me in these instances and during the ice storm in 2015. Having to pick up branches after a big snow or wind storm was a pain growing up.
  13. Our power never went off here luckily (yet) but the trees have been popping all morning. There have been crews working the past month in Cumberland County cutting down trees and limbs that were too close to the power lines so it's paid off here. Prettiest snow I can remember though.
  14. Campground pic! It actually seems like they had less there but maybe a lot of it was getting caught in the trees or something. Beautiful though
  15. I take a pic and then take a screenshot of the same pic eith my phone and upload it that way so the size is small enough
  16. Holy freaking crap it must've poured after I went to bed. Hey NWS Nashville what's your WSW criteria here?!
  17. Yeah I try to go there every time it snows now since I don't really have any woods by my house and that place is just down the road. Id like to get a cabin there some day before a big snow is in the forecast and just relax on the porch and watch
  18. We have a campground right by I40 here in Crossville that is always beautiful. If I can wake up early enough I'm gonna try to get pics of it with the snow on the trees. Here was a pic from a few hours ago. It's peaceful there. Only 1.5 hours from Nashville and literally right off the interstate so it's easy to get in and out of.
  19. Looking good. Also wanted to say nice yard lol. I've been working on mine the last couple years trying to get it from mostly weeds to decent grass and it's been tough since they scraped all the topsoil when they built it.
  20. Ok im looking at a trash radar lol. Going to bed soon but this has been the biggest and prettiest snow here since January 2016 I think.
  21. Rain line creeping eastward? Or maybe just looks like rain on radar
  22. That'd be a "Shocker". TWC suggests about another inch tonight. So we'll see. It hasn't slowed down in an hour plus though.
  23. Great point lol. If mine die it's probably where I forgot to water them daily. But it rains almost daily in TN so I might be ok
  24. Yeah mine showed 5am etc last I looked but it did have the hourly rates falling off to about .2/hr. Just want it to stay steady enough so it doesn't start compacting and melting too much before morning
  25. I hope you do and I think you will! It's slowly progressing. Shame it's gonna be so warm Monday but it'll be nice to look at while it's here. Especially being a last minute kinda storm.
