  1. The company I work at owns a house on the interstate so ii figure I'm legal to do so lol
  2. No truck stop on my exit so trucks are parking anywhere they can
  3. I walked onto i40 for this pic lol. It's actually a fairly powdery dry snow compared to last Sundays
  4. They are plowing but iits snowing too hard
  5. It's nasty! Plow just went by https://snipboard.io/5MDXkU.jpg
  6. Truckers are looking for anywhere to park off exit 311 on I40. Just took this. Bout to look at the interstate https://snipboard.io/MW1ODh.jpg
  7. I live right next to I40 and it's red by my house. I'll go attempt to take pics real quick. Wish me luck
  8. We were sleet for a bit before the heavy stuff came in and changed it to all snow so hopefully that'll happen in the valley
  9. Still 1" per hour here. The flakes aren't huge but they're heavy
  10. 1.5" on the car here in 45 minutes. Hopefully we stay all snow. It's been pouring
  11. Falling like heavy rain now! You can hear it but it's not sleet. Also 29
  12. Getting heavier here now and all snow I think
  13. Same, we are also at 29 now
  14. Sleet/snow mix between Crossville and Monterey. I'd say 80/20 mix right now but hopefully turns to all snow soon
  15. It's sleeting or snowing here according to my security camera so it should be pretty close to there. I'll go outside and see if it's snow or sleet real quick
  16. OHX: We just released our 00Z sounding here at the office and it appears that some "warmer" air just above the surface is trying to play spoiler again for our snow lovers. We have sleet (look like little pellets of ice) here at our office now, how about you? ---BTW we are down to 30 here now
  17. Makes sense and I did see where the further east the higher QPFs there were, just wasn't sure if we should be concerned with sleet or ice like the middle/west areas. I appreciate it though.
  18. I guess this storm is supposed to pickup intensity as it heads eastward? Seems like a lot of heavy returns on radar currently are actually falling as lighter sleet/snow in the mid-state.
  19. We are full blown cloudy here now. It got noticeably colder once that finally happened, but for the eastern areas, hanging on to a little clear weather around dark might be all the difference.
  20. Feeling better now about the temps. Was 38 about an hour or so ago here. Now it is right at 32
  21. This guy seems more confident in heavy snow on the Plateau now: https://meteorologistmark.com/2021/02/17/special-winter-wx-update-issued-at-320-pm-wed/
  22. NWS Nashville raised my point forecast from 2-4" to 3-5". I don't really see it as it is warmer here by about 5 degrees compared to 10 miles down the road in Monterey. Oddly they still have Monterey at 2-4" though. Confusing to me.
  23. Hope so, they were reporting mostly cloudy conditions like us though. It does feel a lot cooler as soon as the sun is behind the clouds here though
  24. Plateau must be blocking the cold air again. It's 38 here in Crossville and only 27 in Cookeville 20 minutes away off the plateau
  25. It's cloudy here now (pic is looking west) so hopefully it stays that way. Temperatures have stabilized around 31°
