Go check it out in person!

Looks like here in 2015. Definitely not fun. Matter of fact it is 5 years to the day of our first of two ice storm warnings in one week.
-
Strange seeing the Smokies get blanked while everywhere west of them gets hammered
-
Ours is showing a 60% chance of snow Thursday night with less than an inch Accumulations now. Whatever happens, Friday is probably gonna be a messy commute.
-
Just a hair over 2" now here. This is the type of snow where if you sneeze it'll all blow away though. The ratios have to be really high with how airy it is.
-
They look like big wet snowflakes here until you try to grab some for a snowball then they just disappear lol.
-
It's coming down good here but the radar refuses to acknowledge it. All the while the sun looks ready to poke out at any moment.
-
Welcome to beautiful Crossville, where the snow never starts until the advisories end. Balmy 11° and super fluffy.
-
It's actually snow apparently and coming down decently enough. Better than nothing I suppose. Id say the roads are pretty icy underneath because we got a lot of rain.
-
We've gotten a dusting of something overnight despite nothing forecasted. It's down to 13 here which surprised me since we didn't have any snow or sleet cover to speak of.

100%

I'm hoping maybe this cold air coming through now is helping to move everything Eastward finally for this next storm but who knows. Just yesterday we were forecast to be around 45 both Wednesday and Thursday but now it looks like mid 30s. Sucks being right on the edge of being cold enough but maybe we get lucky.

This was the January 29, 2010 snow in Deer Lodge, TN. Generally between 5-7" of snow+ice and drifts of up to 12". -

Yeah I remember most places were snow but it was one of those weird events here where the central Plateau got less snow and more ice than most areas. It was a weird one. I remember walking on top of the snow without sinking through thanks to the ice. I got a pic somewhere I'll share. Also the December event I was thinking of was actually 2010-2011 which was also a really good winter here. Every time you walked there was about a 2" layer of ice on top and you could pick it up off the top of the snow in these slabs. Definitely was a weird one: -
We've finally switched to sleet or snow or something here in Crossville. Idk but the grass is so crunchy it's making me crave some tacos.

Nice, I lived in Morgan County at that time and we didn't get near that much (it was still the snowiest winter I can remember) but I saw pics of Crossville in that time frame and it looked similar to your pic. I'd say around a foot in early December and close to that on Christmas. The late January snow was also big but WAA caused a lot of icing towards Crossville so I believe the area I live now probably only had about 6"-7" while in town (further southeast) was closer to 4" with ice on top -
Yep it rose from 34 to 41 in about 45 minutes and dropped even quicker.
-
We went from 41 to 30 in 20 minutes. That was about an hour ago and hadn't had a chance to look again yet. Crazy

Literally invert the colors and it'll be almost spot on lol. -
Temperature in Crossville randomly shot up from 34 to 41 in an hour, and in the last 15 minutes it's gone from 41 back down to 34 lol.
-
Yeah I should say short of ice/freezing rain, 32.6 degrees and rain is no fun. But definitely better than 31 and rain.
-
32 currently and heavy rain. Doesn't get much worse than that in winter. Missed a huge snowfall opportunity
-
That'll be on the ground for a long time
