  1. Hit or miss interesting. This one has less a look in our back yards, but slight adjustments in many differing factors could have a larger impact. We will have to see how it evolves.
  2. And we switched.. Sleet and rain.. 33 degrees. Lame
  3. Finally seeing a white coating on the grass and mulch. Deck is getting close to getting white.. Slushy. 33 degrees
  4. Imagine how much worse it would be in a week with DST! Good thing this happened today! - We say this crap every year! Need rates and snow at night! 35/30 here - some intermittent spits of flurries.
  5. First flakes flying in Purcellville, 37/26 -
  6. Actually been low myself - so I hope I am again Want more always!
  7. 4" would be fine. I would love more, but gotta be real. In general the call in my area is 2 - 4 inches with highest elevations maybe getting to 5" - NWS calling for 5" IMBY, but I am going with 4.. and hope I am wrong!
  8. Is the icon really good at this stuff at this range? Would not put much stock in that model for such specific info.
  9. Back from the UK and could not muster up backing in the flow for a negative NAO.. Failed
  10. Right down the street and at 24.5 inches for the year.. Also lower elevation
  11. Final was 5.2 inches. Driveway clear and melting is starting in earnest. Sun angle and warmth of pavement is making is all erode fast.
  12. Major lull out here! Temps went briefly up to 32 - back to 30 again. Sleet for the most part.
  13. Still mainly sleet with snow. Trying to flip as heavier stuff moves in. Maybe we get back to some snow - think we lose though.
  14. One note - Seeing some fog now which is indicative of the warmer air - 30/29 here.
  15. As precip picks up, more snow gets mixed in. So when the heavier returns hit, maybe we get back into good snow a bit longer. I would say it is now 65% sleet/45% snow. Accumulations are not really happening. edit: - MY MATH is awesome! Getting 110% precipitation here! LOL!
  16. Not seeing any current strikes, but love this site.! https://www.lightningmaps.org/?lang=en#m=oss;t=3;s=0;o=0;b=;ts=0;z=9;y=39.2982;x=-76.815;d=2;dl=2;dc=0;
  17. In this lighter stuff we mixed with sleet and Freezing rain. Attempting to change back to snow as rates are increasing again. I measured 4.7 inches.
  18. This may be in the thread somewhere - NWS upped totals a bit! Very much necessary.
  19. Would we get a snow squall warning on top of a Winter Storm Warning? Just curious! LOL!
  20. Just broke 4 inches. What an amazing thump. Thumpilicious as it is still ripping!
  21. Between 2 and 3 already - looks closer to 3. In meetings or I would have already measured. Looks great!
