  1. It really looks like the best chance the city and coast have for accumulations is Monday night.
  2. Can somebody actually post the Ukie instead of vague descriptions like ugly and warm.
  3. People are seriously losing their minds and it's not even December yet, lol.
  4. So there is a good chance you see the higher totals. I think NWS has you in 8+ range. What is your elevation there?
  5. There is a big difference between Stony Point and Tappan also. The northern part of the county like Stony Point and Bear mountain can easily see 8+ with this system.
  6. Thats a very possible scenario for areas 50 miles N and W of NYC.
  7. Winter Storm Watch just issued for Dutchess and Ulster counties for at least 9 inches of snow/sleet.
  8. It could be big 40+ miles N and W of NYC which is this region.
  9. HV probably buried on this run. Somebody please post snow map when available.
  10. CMC gives me over a foot, lol. What did Ukie show?
  11. Its still 4-5 days out and thermal profiles are tricky but it's looking like you have to be 50 miles or more N and W of NYC to have a chance of any accumulating snow.
  12. You don't know that. The first 10 days have been well below normal, the next 7 days should be slightly above normal except for Friday which could be well above normal in the 60's. It then looks like temps will drop below normal after the 18th thru the 25th.
  13. 34 and cloudy now. Picked up 1 inch overnight.
  14. 28/16 right now. Hoping for an inch or 2 of snow before change to sleet.
  15. Had a high of 46 today but dropping like a rock, down to 34.
  16. 44 and sunny. Expecting 1-3 late tonight.
  17. He said winter was done in January, lol. I have 36 inches so far this season and expecting another 2-4 Saturday night.
  18. 15* and clear with light winds and snow pack. Winter is not over yet especially in HV. Would not be surprised to see 1-3 inches of snow Saturday night and Sunday morning before changeover.
  19. Got 4.5" in Hyde Park, 36 for season. Hoping it won't be the last.
  20. Don't worry about the rain that may fall in the beginning. It will quickly change to snow as column cools.
  21. Agree with this and like what HRDPS shows. It seems some of the other guidance is a tad too light on precip.
  22. I think most areas start as rain as temps will be above freezing everywhere but change to snow as column cools. I expect it to start as rain even by me in Dutchess county but quickly change.
  23. I'm in Hyde Park and GFS is not our friend up here. NWS Albany has me getting 5-9 but I'm thinking 4-6. What do you think ratios will be up here?
