  1. Pretty close to a whiff on the rains here with todays cold front. Only 0.05” fell. Up to 0.08” month to date. A nice line of showers got its act together across the south metro….go figure.
  2. It’s been unpleasant working outside. Luckily so far we haven’t had the extreme 70+ dews like last summer. I’m already over this crap, and ready for coastal ridges and central CONUS troughs.
  3. Dropped down to 61 last night. I love these low dews. We’ve only picked up 0.03” of rain in June. It’s getting crispy out here.
  4. Might head up to either Gooseberry or Split Rock this weekend. Dews have finally dropped into the mid 50s here which is a big relief.
  5. Overnight low of 66, which is the coldest it’s gotten in June here. No open windows in our household.
  6. Off to a hot start of summer in Minneapolis. 3rd most 90s through June 5th
  7. The city of Bloomington dumps snow in a field by my office. This pile is remarkably still hanging on. 84/61 currently under cloudy and smoky skies.
  8. Another afternoon in Minneapolis where we have eclipsed 90F.
  9. Up to 90 currently in Minneapolis this afternoon.
  10. Might just need to plant California Fan Palms.
  11. Trollhaugen in Dresser WI saves a pile of snow under straw and tarps all summer for an early October event each year. I’m always surprised they are able to save anything.
  12. There was a single 5min obs of 69F which will be the official overnight low for Minneapolis. Coldest temp of the month.
  13. Lots of scattered convection in the area kept the temps down and we only managed a high of 88 today. Did pick up 0.04” of rain!
  14. Still a few remaining piles around town lol.
  15. Overnight low of 70. Lawns are starting to turn brown.
  16. 3rd day in a row we’ve reached 90 in Minneapolis.
  17. It’s quite strong in January. It’ll be -12F at the airport and -20s outside the urban core. In fact we would have probably broken our all time snowfall record if it weren’t for marginal temps during a few event. Our suburban WFO was around 12” higher on seasonal snowfall then the official measuring spot at the airport.
  18. June opens up with an overnight low of 72 in Minneapolis. Heat Island flexing.
  19. We’ve reached 90 for the second consecutive day in Minneapolis.
  20. Big difference to the west. Dews are in the 57-59 range across central Iowa.
  21. We’ve hit 90 for the first time this year in Minneapolis.
  22. 88/39 Warmest day of the year. Actually not horrible out with dews this low and a breeze.
  23. 79/30 with 17% Relative Humidity. Loving rare stretches like this when I get to live in the desert. As @A-L-E-Kwould say, “the normies” are talking drought around town.
