Eh, why would it change now, you know? If it’s snowing in the hills outside of Sacramento and L.A. after snowing Las Vegas in Tucson… it’s not going to work out here. I’ve seen this movie before. .

Excellent point. This is *almost* normal here in winters where we have snow and cold. We almost always have spring-like days, especially in February. Today gave me distinct February 1990 vibes, for those old enough to remember. .

Because it’s nice to read what like-minded people think, as some of them have made a professional career out of something that’s just of an interest to me. I still watch sports even though I can’t hit a homerun or kick a field goal. .

I saw this a few weeks back and it’s just like any other specialized communication that people forget: normal people don’t talk like this. I have a hard enough time keeping up with MJO, ENSO, PNA, etc. (I’m convinced some of these are made up just as a gate-keeping device), don’t go throwing around vortex and other apocalyptic jargon just to get clicks and ultimately confuse people. .

I could live on the Florida coasts, but nowhere else in the interior south. The hot nights are what does it for me. I know friends who now live in Houston and that’s the roughest part for them. .
