  1. Do you have the full list? Or Top 25? .
  2. That’s why my rule of thumb for tomato planting is Mother’s Day. .
  3. I would bet it’ll get cold again later in March/early April with maybe another chance of accumulating snow after this warm spell. No other reason other than experience and seeing this all before. I think it’ll be the False Spring narrative; some years people want to get out and garden on the first warm days, etc. It’s like the first frost; Indian summers always occur afterwards. It’ll be like winter’s last number late in the month. .
  4. I’m ready. It’s been a long, cold, lonely winter. .
  5. Thanks! Was just looking through my photos from that time, and it was nuts. .
  6. March 6-7, 2018 smoked me here, as did December 30, 2000; I just don’t recall if they hit CPK. .
  7. I was saying that to my dad just the other day. I’m going off of nothing other than experience. It has *that* feel. .
  8. Deleting this app would be great for my mental health, but there are too many good and funny posts I would miss in the darkest, coldest time of the year. .
  9. It was windy and now the sun is out in late February? .
  10. I think MMU is right at 40. Wonder whom the highest and lowest in the NYC area is? (Like, how far out do we count in a radius from CPK, 30 miles? 45? More?) .
  11. That’s good. I was just saying it in a general sense. Gradual melt would be the best thing to occur. .
  12. Getting concerned about flood potential in the usual places. [emoji51] .
  13. My parents are from there, so any storm we have, the invariable question arises of how much was there in Staten Island. They have not lived there in over fifty years. .
  14. I think we finished here with 16”. Really fun storm, too. Not nearly our largest, but I do love the ones where we don’t think it’s coming and then a few days before, there’s an, “Oopsie. We lied.” It’s like once you go over a foot or 90°, it’s a lot of snow or it’s hot. This was a lot and I’m looking forward to seeing the drifts when I go clear out. Photo is from 1:45 am and 6 am. You can see a little bit of drifting over the previously clear roof. .
  15. I think there’s a bit more than that at MMU; maybe 16” or so? Not historic totals by any means here, but the wind brought us legitimate blizzard conditions overnight. Still fun! Obviously more as you keep going south and east. .
  16. Sometimes you’re (the general you, not you specifically) wrong. That’s all. Have some humility and try again next time. .
