  1. Seriously. That is some 2" an hour cement most of Friday morning.
  2. Snowed from Thursday at 7am until Saturday morning but only about 3.5". At least it feels like winter is back.
  3. Light snow here since 7:30. A coating on top of an absolute skating rink.
  4. Power is back. Winds roaring and pounding snow. Everything covered in <10 minutes. Hard to believe it was in the mid 50s 8 hours ago.
  5. .41 is the alpha of the group. Just south of the center of town on Route 26. It's a great local dive bar, friendly locals, and cheap bar food that hit the spot. I usually head there to play pool and hang out when my wife is out of town.
  6. Haha. Loving it! The other side of 95 seemed fine for power but from Crystal Lake area and north to Poland is dark. I might head down to the Tailgate later for dinner but I imagine a good chunk of town is there too. There are some great discussions in that place, like who has the highest breathalyzer score. 7. Our town is a mess. Neighbor has been here for over 30 years and said he has never seen it this bad. No power since 9am. Another neighbor had fire and rescue at his house a few hours ago due to a large tree on it. Cell phone is out until I drive 20 minutes to Windham. Earlier it took me almost 90 minutes to go from Lewiston to Gray. Rt 202 and 26 are blocked off for long stretches. Side roads are blocked by trees/wires in spots with no warning. So you go a few miles until that one is blocked and have to turn around and find another way. Traffic is backed up everywhere. Reminds me of being in RI for Irene when we had no power for 9 days and no cell for a week only its going to be a hell of a lot colder. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  8. I'm tempted to try Dodge for my next truck if the body rot/rust issues continue with GMC/Chevy. So frustrating to take care of a vehicle and 95% of it looks great then boom, rust and rot above the wheel wells and cab corners. Not to mention the cost has gone insane compared to other trucks, even used they are 20-30% higher than other trucks with similar mileage/specs. I have been surprised to see a lot of Nissan Titans up here. Two co-workers have and love them.
  9. Looks like a flash freeze as well. Eastern parts go from Upper 50s/lower 60s to low-mid 20s in ~6 hours.
  10. GM front ends don't eat them until you start making crazy lift modifications. I currently have a 2011 Sierra with 132k and I am looking for new tires sooner rather than later. According to the receipts, these Michelins were put on at 38k miles when the previous owner installed a leveling kit. They are finally getting down on tread, but still no dry-cracks. The previous owner must have been a nut about caring for it. My wife's GMC Acadia had factory tires until 112k when she found some leftover metal construction debris in the road and blew two out.
  11. Dutch is so much fun and a quick drive. Glad you were able to get some turns in! Hitting Magic tomorrow if they get power haha? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  12. At around 12:30 we had 11". I saw a couple miles north of us reported 15" and the Gray office reported 6.3". Its been rain, snow, freezing rain since and the pack is all of 5-6" now. Took a drive to grab some junk food and the roads are freezing up fast. I was being careful and still slid past our driveway. Hope people realize and stay off the roads tonight. 13. 6z Herpies really nailed the banding and ends it with a nice one this afternoon.
  14. Interesting to see the recent NAM and HRRR compared to radar. Regardless, both throw down another 3-5" by tonight.
  15. The way it is rotating in you will definitely be in the double digits. Still ripping here. Tough to get a good hi-def radar image because we are so close to the station.
  16. So you won't need a warm up run! Typical Stratton, they groomed out 2/3 of the trails. Get in the woods and enjoy!
  17. Sunday River with power issues. Only running surface lifts and the Chondi.
  18. I need to learn the micros up here. We had about 4-5" when I went to bed and the same when I woke up, it was just heavier from hours of baking soda falling.
  19. Mine was planning on going down to western Mass today to visit friends. I just kept quiet lol. Roads are a mess, 95 is covered other than some thin tire tracks, 202 has about 4-6" of slush in spots. Doubt that is happening.
  20. Again? Haha Being a flatlander I just wait until it's over.
  21. Really an amazing change. It was absolutely pounding sand from 5-6:30. It's been parachutes and at close to 2" an hour rate since.
