    Awesome to actually see the data on a map. Got to love those narrow streaks...when you're in them.

    Looking at the 6-9" reports, on radar there was a nice band that ranged from SNH to our area in Maine, then between 95/Rt.1. It was only 10-15 miles wide and just slowly crept ENE for most of the night before pulling out to the south.

    I took a few measurements and they were all 7.5 to 8".

    7.5-8" of paste. We had about 4" around midnight and that band just stayed over us for most of the night.

    It extended out this way for quite a while and is still going. About 7-8" so far.

    Mod-Heavy snow currently. Roads went from wet to white in about 5 minutes.

    Some hi-res models showed this almost verbatim but not until much later when the system started to get its act together.

    Its been cranking here as well. I was surprised to see all the school districts closed but the timing is tough. If this keeps up for a couple more hours we will bust high.

    Been cranking here between 1-2" per hour since 2pm. Just under 4" down. Roads are brutal.

    About 1.5" so far and moderate snow. This is some 20:1 type snow that is best suited for a leafblower.

    We keep going back and forth. Back to dumping snow at the moment. About 2" down.

    Which one of you weenies is the superintendent of my kiddos school district? They sent home iPads today with an email talking about possible closings for Tuesday and Wednesday.

    Calling it. Just under 6". Its oscillating between downpour and 4" per hour rates with the biggest flakes I've ever seen.

    Its nuts. We have gotten over 2" in the past hour. Just under 4" so far.

    There is another doughnut of intensity on radar around Poughkeepsie like over the weekend.

    I wouldn't be surprised if GYX's current high end map is realized. It's going to come in up here with a hell of a thump and could easily hang on to that cold air longer than expected.
