    I've got about 10" here inside the beltway thus far. 18" = average, I'd be happy. 25" = very, very good. 30" + great. more than 35"... stellar, winter to remember. If the pattern shakes out as intended, I think my 25" goal is possible for my area.

    Good to know. Do you have data on that? I was just reflecting this morning that our now 8+ day stretch of snow cover inside the beltway is anomalous in my 14-years of being here dataset.

    I am a lifelong eagles fan, but transferring support to the ravens for this playoff run. They look unbeatable. Will be a great game in Baltimore next week.

    I don't have real woods nearby here in silver spring but there are a few patches in local parks. Snowcover in the woods is the best. It's how winter in our once great eastern deciduous forest was for tens of thousands of years!

    Backyard measurement in silver spring on the afternoon 1/19. Two storms within 120 hours of each other yielded some nice depth. More snow fell later in the evening, maybe a half inch. #slantedstick

    It hasn't stopped snowing in Silver Spring all day. Amazing! The sun has tried to peek out, but even during those moments, it still snows. 10/10

    Measured 3" this morning, then another 1" when I went back out this afternoon. In the yard, we have nearly 8" depth on my #slantedstick! two storms is the way to go

    Heavier returns coming in now in Silver Spring - this was the local park at about 9AM. week here inside the beltway - roads covered twice!

    Unofficially measured 3" at 9am IMBY near down Silver Spring. Still coming down, might be able to hit 4". That would match my obs from Mon/Tues.
