The GEFS actually picked up this weekend snow before the EPS. The EPS was the hold out and it flipped around Tuesday, I believe, and then stayed course.

Thank you! This is the time that I start to worry that all the models will be wrong. I’m in Fairfax, but I noticed NWS lowered expected snowfall for Southern MD, which surprised me.

Thanks. I love a good GEFS fantasy map 9 days away. Plus The Euro OP on Friday. That’s in addition to Showme who has had his sights set on 20-22 for a while.

I count on you to keep posting about our next HECS OR BECS! The GEFS was off the charts at 12z... that’s a better predictor than Op. But a MECS then à BECS will do!

I’m so very sorry for your loss. Lost my mom in July and miss her very much. She didn’t particularly like snow, but she would always patiently listen to my crazy excitement over the latest snow forecasts and fantasy snow models. I told my dad in Southern MD that he needed a snow blower this winter. It was delivered today.

I’m just around Fairfax City and I was thinking we might get in on the banding. We typically do well with it. I am rather surprised that they upped the numbers so quickly. High ratios possible, I guess.

That’s right! I have forgotten how many headaches I had in 2009-2010 and I swore it was due to the barometric pressure. This morning I woke with one again. Or maybe it’s just from staring at too many weather maps!

Didn’t we get a surprise boom on PD 2003 due to Low pressure parking? I’m so hoping that the NAM is right. I know you are excited.

I am hoping that is the case. The past few years they have actually been too aggressive, but I hope we are now in a pattern that keeps them upping the ante! Those are my favorite storms!

I feel so bad that you are missing this! But I guess much of it is the chase. Your analysis leading up to this storm have been incredible! Hope you are enjoying yourself and make it back before we get a big one!
