Today is the day we need to see some love and movement from the short range guidance. You can throw the gfs and euro out at this point. We need the HRRR, NAM 3k and GDPS to start setting up shop where we need it.

The overall trend has been consistent today and we’re very much in the game. Fingers crossed tomorrow continues to fine tune the details and deliver some moisture this way. 

NAM still doesn’t seem like it’ll finish this run where we want it but it definitely trended south from 6z

Do you guys ever think about how over the past 10 years, Alberta randomly stopped sending us their clippers?

The models are finally getting a clue. Maybe it took yesterday’s storm getting out of the picture to help things out. Either way, let’s freakin reel one in!

These model runs are the most asinine solutions I’ve seen. Quite possibly the weirdest way for events to unfold. 

Curious…. Does anyone even have a double digit snow total on the season yet?

See that blanked area? Yes that one east of the apps. Did you know those folks had over a foot of rain the past month??

@Hvward, I can’t remember how the models progressed during that Dec 2017 storm but do I recall it being basically a non-event until the short range came into view?

Let’s be honest, we haven’t had a nino all winter. The pattern hasn’t reflected it in the slightest. 

If I’m rewarded with a cold spring after this crappy winter, I’m going to lose my mind. When we hit March 1st, I want the torch to end all torches.

This will present some challenges for the grid on the east coast. Stock your fire wood and make sure you have propane or heating oil if you use it.
