Flew Jacksonville to NYC. Same temperature in both places this evening. Interesting given conversation above
-
I was on Daytona 99-03. There was a snow event one of those winters. Campus went wild between classes. First time many years that it happened
-
Humid 62F at 7 am. Reminds me of xmas week weather
-
34F this morning at 630 Light frost on some surfaces
-
Hang on. Still in negative territory through mid month. Second half looks very seasonal. Let’s not make Nov sound like an impending torch month. By all indications, it wont be.
-
Plenty of seasonal temps (which is cold) forecasted.
-
49F at 8 am Considering it’s the middle of November look at the leaves on the trees in my yard I cut the grass yesterday Unreal
-
30F. Despite forecasts I knew we were going for a hard freeze and drained the outdoor shower. Much warmer in Queens and Nassau this morning. Mid 40s by 830 Edit: Suffolk much cooler mid 30s
-
Ill be the parent that pleads with feuding siblings here haha It is 44° out, you have a frigid weekend on the way for early November, you’ve had frost all week… Stop fighting about a seasonal outlook that is an educated guess at best. There are plenty of posters with biases on the site. If you like the bias you like them if the bias annoys you they annoy you

coldest day of the year thus far… We never got above 49F. Deer fencing was a chilly endeavor
-
Doesnt work like that long term. Like saying the house is on fire but Im nice and warm We arent the new Denver. We are in transition to DC or Norfolk.
-
33F this morning. Moderate frost on cold surfaces only
-
Because hitting 32° for an hour doesn’t really end the growing season… Even if it does on paper. You really need a hard freeze or extended freeze.
-
What’s scary is that 2021 isn’t even close to the other years
-
It’s an odd leaf change as well… Particularly in warmer areas like the city. I notice a lot of the leaves have just dried up and started falling off the trees with out ever going through a color transformation. Almost all of the maples on my parents block in Queens are just dried up leaves.

The problem is, historically, if you’re dealing with a very warm fall… And this is almost like an El Niño fall… You’re going to get a crappy Winter if you like winter. Temperature wise, the best thing that could happen is in November at or slightly below normal. But if we’re shooting for 72 next week… And I think those are usually extreme (on the warm side) this far out…You could start to see a clearer picture of where we’re headed

It came out of nowhere! Like a gust front…But its still October

Brutal wind, heavy rain and freezing temperatures in southern Westchester this midday Saturday. And the NWS and forecasters wonder why an entire city ignored warnings for IDA. -
Yosemite on arrival into SFO. Snow line from storm just to the west. Sierras covered very nicely from the event at higher altitudes
-
OBS and nowcast 9PM tonight-8A Wednesday for a general 2-5" rain, isolated 8" possible. 40-60 kt damaging wind likely Tuesday-early Wednesday. Focus for damaging wind and heaviest rain is the I95 corridor to the coasts. Power outages esp CT LI.

Inbound to EWR. On time. Rain stopped. SW winds at 10 knots at the moment. They even turned the airport around to land on the 22s. Not anything like the aviation forecast from this morning…happily- 228 replies
