  1. I was on the mid cape driving between Barnstable and Yarmouth at about 615 and I saw a blue green flash that I thought was a transformer. It wasn’t windy and only a couple inches of snow so it wasn’t a power outage. I’m now thinking lightning/thunder snow. Any way to check for strikes around that time and location. I was pretty focused on the road and not the time so it was 550 to 630 pm. On a side note I saw 4 accidents and the roads were horrible.
  2. I would think the Hurricane of 1938 would be up there too. It took trees down way north into northern New England. Do you have that graphic?
  3. This looks bad for Tampa bay even without the eye being very close.
  4. Another band out in northern NJ looks like it’s headed toward the hardest hit areas in CT…..
  5. Literally not true. It has happened a lot recently for Atlantic Canada but NE had two cat 3’s in one season. Small sample size. Lots of cat ones and tropical storms.
  6. It’s a needle thread for us therefore it’s always a miss until it actually hits. I don’t think a NE Hurricane would be a solid forecast until 2-3 days out.
  7. I’m seeing him next weekend in marshfield. He’s part of the lineup for levitate fest.
  8. Is northern New England seeing anything? I’m surprised
  9. Bruins lose and now it’s partly cloudy and no aurora. Blah. maddening. I got a cloudy Friday night viewing with only camera view and 5% of the sky on the horizon.
  10. Use your phone or a camera it should show color
  11. How do you survey multiple tornadoes through the same location? Wild stuff! edit: Large tornadoes through the same place. Def a case study for the future
  12. Lots of power outages on the Cape. The snow has finally stopped. I lost power in Dennis. The wind is still pretty gusty and we have 7-8 inches of paste on all the trees.
  13. I’m in Dennis too. The power has been flickering for the last hour. It feels like we will lose power soon. The trees are pasted.
  14. Hardest storm measure I’ve experienced 12+ foot drifts mixed with bare ground. Basically a guess in the end on the Cape. I’d say 30-35 was a good bet though.
  15. Cape cod bay would fill up and magnify that surge sandwich to Brewster wrecked
