  1. Probably some subsidence, but the dewpoints have crept up from the Catoctin Mts. east, so it's possible the front may be drifting west. If so, this puts I-95 in the game for at least a few hours of rain overnight.
  2. If this were a snowstorm, this board would be insufferable.
  3. You can tell even the sandy soil of the eastern shore is pancaked. The Ridgely mesonet site recorded over half an inch of rain in under 30 minutes, but the soil moisture values are just flat. It's going to take some time for moisture uptake to occur it seems.
  4. It's raining in New Windsor and I can see clear skies to my west. Hah!
  5. Surprised we got one down there even. The soil moisture values on the mesonet sites on Delmarva and southern Maryland are parched.
  6. Don't sleep on anything next week. Ridge is more favorable for MCS and we have a better chance at EML advection.
  7. 950 and 850 temps next week support us flirting with 100 degrees regionwide. Legit heat incoming.
  8. Downsloping off the mountains usually. That plus we seemed to have a weak inversion aloft that was decapitating the updrafts last night.
  9. I'd say the odds are pretty good.
  10. DCA has to maintain 81° until 1:00 am 7/11 to have a new record warm low temp.
  11. Wow both lines went kaput. . .
  12. Cirrus from that line is all the way up in Reisterstown. Looks like maybe the northern crews storms are firing to our west finally?
  13. Hope the radar improves soon because man the current stuff is not reassuring.
  14. We've got two water sources, bird bath and a ground bath going, and the foxes are hitting them hard. Definitely a dry summer.
  15. Marginal mid level lapse rates are killing us thus far.
  16. If we don't get some storms out of today, man I don't know. I just want a good 30 min of rain.
  17. It's 80 degrees in New Windsor at 11pm. That's impressive.
  18. I think the Park Service has banned all fishing in the Shenandoah due to low water levels and high temperatures.
