No grass lawns gaining popularity.

I have zero grass out front - my entire lawn is behind the house. Everything out front is mulched, ponds, decorative pieces, etc. I also have 2 Adirondacks for my wife and I to enjoy sitting outside later on hot days when the back yard is getting direct sunlight.

Yep, just saw that. He would have been a nice addition. I hope the Os don't go bargain basement. They have the prospects to make a significant addition or 2 to put them in a good position for a postseason run.
I agree with you 100% regarding starters hitting a wall - Kremer was given a huge cushion last night and couldn't make it through the 5th. I'm also concerned about starting pitching - and that also taxes the bullpen. If Fujinami pitches like he did last night, that would be huge heading down the stretch.

With the demotion of Tyler Wells to double-A to get rest/controlled work, it seems the Os intend to pick up a veteran starter before the deadline. Wells seemingly hit a bit of a wall and the same might happen with the other young starters. Reports are linking the Orioles to Mike Lorenzen. Probably a decent pickup of they can pull it off, but he is sort of having a career year and the prior 8 seasons pitched 100 innings or less. Not ideal given the state of the current rotation.
The Cardinals are selling and Montgomery would be a better fit. More durable, innings eater, and having a good season.
Montgomery went to the Rangers last evening I believe...

Looking at radar, it looks like the only one who might see rain overnight is @Bubbler86and maybe @Coop_Mason

Was at friends yesterday and they said the same thing. I need to see this.

Just about every model I looked at shows rain in the Southern LSV tonight/tomorrow AM. Fingers crossed. It is a piece of energy diving by from Western PA to the DelMarVa
CTP mentioned I believe that essentially the southern tier stands the best (maybe only) chance at seeing rain overnight. Let's hope that it's a Franklin Flyer.

Today was a splendid summer day.
This week could feature 7 consecutive days with below normal highs.
I'll take that in a New York minute while the climate data is being scoured.

Pleasant night out. The beginning of a long stretch of nice air temp wise.
It is indeed gorgeous. Was going to start a fire but a little too breezy.

That is probably after Dirk's concert. 2AMish.
See, it's "Dierks" and not "Dirk" - you need to understand that the entire world doesn't revolve around Nowitzski.

Some serious winds here - it takes a lot of wind to impress me but it is howling right now.
Oh, and no rain.

I'm so used to getting up between 1am and 3am on work days that I can't sleep past 5 on weekends. My body is dialed in to early wake up times.

I get called a lot of things...most are not repeatable working in HR. One thing that I'm definitely not is normal. LOL

Two Hammer head towering clouds here off to the south. Just had a wind gust to 43. Was hoping to score today with the dry spell upon us.
Northern and central Maryland is getting smoked. Lots of warnings up.

Pretty tame on radar compared to yesterday at this time. I’ve been watching that line up by State College and it just isn’t strengthening at all as it drops southeast…
Nope, and a lot of the discreet cells popping in advance of the line are south and east of most of us.

After a couple hours of clouds from the decayed Midwest MCS, it is now full sun. Let’s see what develops later this afternoon…
I was coming here to say the same - temp is really taking off now. 89/73 currently. Looking at recent satellite imagery suggests we make a run at 93-95 at this point.

It’s f-ing humid.
and I’m betting we don’t see any rain today in the Harrisburg areaI'm going to very respectfully disagree- call me a weenie but I'm putting my chips in on some good storms later on.
Only caveat is...I don't gamble and don't have chips to put in.
