The closest cell actually went south of us in a surprise move.   All good, hope it to be pouring by the time I get up tomorrow.

Edit, the storm reached back and watered us to the tune of .02.

    Mini bonus appetizer before tomorrow.

CTP has upped expected amounts it looks like...calling for a general .5" - 1". Hopefully we can keep an every few/several days of rain pace.

LOL, if my water stops running I am not calling 911 but understood.

"Hello, 911?  My buddies and I went to Taco Tuesday last night and now my toilet is stopped up, emergency!   Help!"

Been a long time since I went to Taco Bell...mainly because the next day was Taco hell...

Models look pretty good for an Eastern PA AM soaking rain as of now but some of it is convective and, in the AM, so we shall see.    The carpet guys might "tack on" or "pile on" some extra totals in their afternoon update if the 12Z models stay juicy.

I think I understand the fiber of your message...so you're saying that tomorrow isn't seamless?

The O’s had the most deserving loss of all time tonight. Houston hit a 9th inning grand slam to go ahead 7-6 - an inning or so after the crowd chanted “Free Kevin Brown.”

What a joke of an owner. Such a little man.

The only person who you claim deserved this doesn't give a rat's ass what happens on the field anyway. Those players have nothing to do with this.

I might be angrier than I have at any point in my life right now. I'm sick.

The ""Orioles" did not deserve this. In fact, they deserve so much better.

We haven't had the steam up here that you folks down there have, so I really haven't had a full taste of the summer. Late August is generally when I begin looking forward to fall, but I think I'm there now.

Now watch Indian summer be a scorcher.

That's exactly what I'm afraid of.

@Itstrainingtime the GFS is less generous at 12Z but such a wide swath of solutions.    MESO's seem to favor south while the GFS maintains a much stronger northern presense with the wave.   CMC is a flush hit, Icon a total miss.  Pretty varied solutions.

Thank you! I have not looked at any guidance, I've only been seeing a mention for a chance of a thunderstorm on Thursday and what you've been describing seems a bit more in-depth than that.

Early 12Z's keep an most of the day rainer for Thurs on the board.  For those still in a deep hole and those that got less than they wanted the least few days.    Rain starts before lunch for the LSV west side.   Once exception for the early 12z's is the Icon which skips the LSV

How much rain potentially is on the table?

  9. Finally.

I was 18 when the Orioles won the 1983 World Series. I had been a huge fan since my dad took me to my first game on 33rd Street in 1976. During the first decade of being an Orioles fan meant 2 things:

    • A whole lot of winning
    • An organization that was the envy of baseball - "The Oriole Way"

Back then, I was naïve enough to think that winning titles would come rather quickly...an excruciating loss in '79 followed by a 100 win season in '80. The incredible end to the '82 season followed by the '83 championship team. Life was so good...

That was 40 years ago. Man, I'm getting older. Older, and still waiting for a return trip to the Fall Classic. So many of the last 40 years have been lost and hopeless. But now, the young guns are flourishing and it's been an absolute joy to watch. This team is fun. It plays hard. They play the game the right way. It's almost like a rewind of the clock back to when I was a kid...

But...now this. You all have said it better than I can. What an embarrassment. The thing that makes this particularly bad is that it now diminishes what's happening on the field. For the first time since I was a kid, the Orioles have been talked about by others with admiration...respect...awe...and now this.

Why? How can a family be such a public relations disaster?

.21" of rain from yesterday's line of storms.  No visible damage anywhere around us but the Amtrak trains early this morning were canceled due to wind damage along the line.

Hey @Itstrainingtime what the heck is up with the Orioles suspending their announcer over exactly nothing!?  I heard the clip and have no idea what they are hearing.  He quite literally just recited their record.  That's it.  Anyway, seems they are being lambasted pretty good over the decision.

You were really unlucky with rainfall yesterday - I tripled your amount, and just south of you there were amounts in excess of what I got. I did much better than you from the overnight Sunday rains...I think you said you only had a couple of hundredths of an inch, while I had nearly a third of an inch.

Just embarrassingly awful, and it comes at a time when the on-field product is worth getting truly excited about. I've watched and re-watched it countless times (I actually was watching it live that night) and I'm genuinely stunned over what has transpired. Kevin Brown literally was celebrating the fact that hey, we're a good enough team to finally win in Tampa and he gets suspended for reading a graphic that quite obviously, someone else put it together and someone else decided to run with it and put it on the screen.

Like, this is all kinds of shameful embarrassment for the Angelos group. I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but even for this group...no one could have seen this coming.

If this was the NFL, our ownership group would be more prolifically shamed than Daniel Snyder ever was.

Can't even enjoy and let success go - gotta find a way to still embarrass ourselves.

  12. I'll admit - after a busy morning yesterday I got next to nothing done in the afternoon. Severe weather threat days sort of stress me out. We're usually out of the woods for severe by this time of the year barring something from a tropical system, but the current pattern might lend itself to more opportunities going forward.

    Joy.

The depth of the clouds is the thing that is pretty striking this AM.  It still looks like a fall morning over here as to the sky condition.  63 right now.

This morning is the first to me that the sun looks more like fall. Deep shadows. It's gorgeous. Hurry up, 60 degree high weather days!

I noticed this at sunset last night - sky looked much different than it has in months. My wife saw it too. It wasn't a traditional summer sky. It won't be long now. :)
