86 - hoping those cells crossing over 83 in York County deliver here shortly. I remain skeptical.
Skeptical wins again- the Maytown part of the line absolutely died on the doorstep. Total rainfall here from that cell...T.

No rain yet but a ton of cloud to ground lightning approaching.

They are hitting up Maytown...York's Mayton. Fingers crossed you score.
We just discovered Maytown over there several years ago when we started renting a cabin at Pinchot. Never knew it existed!

Im sitting at 72/70. Yuck. Luckily those slow moving showers earlier this morning went right over me and salvaged what would have been pretty paltry totals for me. As it stands, I’m probably still only around a half inch for my three day total. Will have to check the gauge here shortly.
Forgot to add, I have to go to a wedding today in this muck, and a dry wedding at that. Uuuugh.
About 15 minutes ago there was a sudden downpour in Columbia - the atmosphere is ripe today.

I probably post more WPC maps than anyone in here, but they have really struggled this week. Earlier in the week their 5 day map ending 7am Sunday had me between 3-5". With a day to go I'm sitting at .66" and there are quite a few with less than me.

Stuff down near DC currently might impact more of the LSV in the next few hours.

I have been completely screwed here all day, fringed in every way imaginable on all sides with every cell or band. Serves me right for staying positive haha. Glad to see others are making out well though.
You are just missing a nice blob of rain to your east. I'm in East Pete and it's a deluge.

You must have some other members of the board blocked. :-)
In all seriousness - my thoughts about big-time rains for everyone is looking...well, I'm losing the #stayingpositive vibes that MJS is feeing. LOL

Here comes the humidity ugh. Low of 63 here with a two-day rain total of .3". Topped out at only 67 yesterday, impressive. MDT missed their record by one degree, maxing at 66. We should start getting into the good stuff down this way later today, as the rain chances look to continue in near perpetuity. Monday is certainly a day worth keeping an eye on for all the wrong reasons, although I do love me a good severe outbreak. National low of 21 near Mackay, ID. National high pretty much anywhere in Texas ha. Toodles.
I picked up .34" since 2am somehow.

Gust to 25 out here.
Breezy at times here now. Looks like a batch of rain moving your way or just west of you.

It's going to be a foggy drive home overnight me thinks.

It is windy over here so was not comfortable with short sleeves but did go with shorts. Only 59. MDT got to 65 or 66 so no clean records/no records today.
I believe Lancaster's (MU) record low high is still in play - previous record was 67, I believe the high so far today is 66.
It has become very humid here and I just walked across campus and did not detect even the slightest of breezes.

How's this for a map to archive from June 22nd near the peak of daytime heating?:

Well that was the other thing, figured he would respond if he deemed it worthy. Wasn't my fight to take on haha.
I only question your totals. I'm a sore loser, and I hate losing out to my neighbor.

12Z Suite mostly underwhelming for rain through the end of the weekend...about 1/2" on average. With that said, D2 introduced for a small part of the LSV.
Northeast Drought Summary
Much of the Northeast experienced below average daytime high temperatures this week. Several locations in interior portions of the Northeast also received well above normal rainfall totals, leading to improvements in the drought depiction, particularly across northern New England and parts of Upstate New York. Some locations in southeastern Pennsylvania and northern West Virginia also experienced improving drought conditions, associated with a couple of rounds of heavy rainfall, totaling in excess of 2 inches for the week. Unfortunately, short-term dryness leading up to this week warranted further degradation of drought and abnormal dryness (D0) across southern New England and the Mid-Atlantic from the I-95 corridor eastward to the Atlantic Coast.
Really interesting - this comes one day after the county of Lancaster lifted it's burn ban.

Anyone here know anything about Pittsburgh? Only been twice for Red Sox games but have a retirement party to attend outside the city in July and pondering going a day before. What to do other than the incline and walk up the Strip District?
Gateway Clipper for sightseeing and dinner cruises - dock is located very close to one of the inclines.
Carnegie Science Center is adjacent to Heinz Field. (that was intentional)
