  1. Was it a good look though? The trough access was over us during this time period, and forky warned that the period could easily be cold and dry. I think this was one of the thought extinct cold and dry weather patterns of the '70s and '80s that has somehow come back. I remember during the snowy period we thought coastal huggers until March 2017, and clippers were extinct and suddenly they're back. Well now that 1970s 1980s cold and dry pattern is back.
  2. It needed a perfect phase. Never good sign when the trough axis is over your head.
  3. I am happy for the Mid-Atlantic they have a real shot of having an above average snowfall winter.
  4. I think I heard before that if there is a high pressure to the north feeding in colder air the piece of shield will be expansive like 1996 however if there is a low to the north then the precip shield will not be as expansive. Perhaps I meant on this board can confirm or deny.
  5. GFS is a Little closer. I wonder why the precip shield is so tight.
  6. At least Euro gave us a little bit more snow about an inch.
  7. Amazing how the gefs ticked slightly better. Will be interesting to see if the geps is slightly better as well.
  8. Okay I am not a met, however, wouldn't the decaying blocking in the AO and nao regions allow this to nudge a little North? Forky mentioned that our storm would happen as the block decays.
  9. Seems the northern system is stronger helping us. Also the weaker Southern low is not condensing precip shield.
  10. Yeah we haven't had in October snowstorm since 2011 I believe? At least we had a May dusting a couple years ago LOL.
