0z EPS had its best run yet for this event & put the LSV in the sweet spot this run.

18z EPS had a very slight uptick in snow for Harrisburg & York over the 12z run.

Here is the 18z GEFS Snow map is 10-1 The 2.7 at Harrisburg would like be a little over 3 with ratios.

Only 1.8 below normal through yesterday. if Friday night delivers close to 3, MDT will be near normal to date. Unfortunately, not many cities in the eastern half of the country can say that.

CTP with the early call. I think this event is pretty straightforward. 1 to 3 with a few lucky places getting 4.

Friday Night A chance of snow. Cloudy, with a low around 28. West wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

I’m talking general model consensus. Not a ton of upside potential. This should be a fairly standard minor event to pad stats.

It still looks like a decent consensus for an general 1 to 3 type of event, with maybe a few lucky spots getting 4. Cashtown or Mitch might win this time.

12z Euro very has a solid Advisory event for the LSV Saturday am.

6z RGEM is nice, especially for the southern tier. (see, I didn’t forget about the southern tier again, lol!)

Yes, MDT did quite well yesterday with the 7.7 of snow. If they get a few inches on Saturday, they could be near or possibly above normal for the season to date.

This is good news to wake up to today. Hopefully we score a few inches on Saturday & then have a chance later next week as well to track.

There was a lot of compaction even while the event was ongoing & especially a few hours after the event.

MDT actually did better in than originally reported earlier today. The 5 pm climate summary shows 7.7 inches of snow recorded today at MDT. Let’s see if this holds overnight with the final daily report, but the amount of precip today that fell as snow would certainly support this number.
