  1. Wow, that’s crazy! Usually @canderson gets the worst of the wind among our posters!
  2. I hope that my trash cans are still there in the morning for the trash truck to haul away! How are the trees doing on Front St.?
  3. The 0z GFS was too good to not post! This is what it showed last night for Thanksgiving week. Dream a little dream....
  4. And so it begins...! The 12z Euro shows an early Thanksgiving week snow chance for CTP.
  5. Yes indeed! Our time is coming soon. In the meantime, let’s step it down...
  6. It was absolutely beautiful! I got a couple of outside projects finished up. The next 2 days look great as well. Wednesday looks likely to be a wash out.
  7. Yes, exactly! Cold in early to mid November usually does us no good in the snow department in the Susquehanna Valley. I too will be rooting for a pattern change closer to Thanksgiving when a colder pattern can have a better chance to produce some snow.
  8. Good luck with your trash cans! Hopefully @canderson doesn’t end up with any trees down in Harrisburg!
  9. Happy November 1st everyone! Maybe this is the month that we all will get on the snow board?!?! Winter Weather Advisories are up for parts of Western PA! Let the winter games begin!
  10. Great! Just in time for trash day in my town! Hopefully my trash cans don’t decide to take flight!
  11. Yes, the snow event yesterday in New England was impressive. There are some good pictures in their obs thread. I agree that it will be interesting to see how the strength of the Niña evolves over the next couple of months. Like you mentioned, other factors like the NAO and MJO will always be a factor. It would be great to have a chance of getting a storm similar to yesterday take place in another month or so in CTP. Our winter tracking time is coming soon. I am happy that we get to change the clocks soon so that the weather models will come out 1 hour earlier! I am looking forward to asking, “who is staying up for the Euro!”
  12. You are living in the new precip capital of PA. Hopefully it continues for you this winter!
  13. Congrats! Great to see snow in northern PA ! Our time is coming soon!
  14. I thought that it might soon be time to put my lawn mower away after I cut the grass last weekend. This rain followed by a few warmer days upcoming later this week might mean that I might need to do one final mowing.
  15. That’s great! I only need a 30 mile shift south to get into the “snow probable” zone! This is my new favorite forecaster!
  16. Didn’t you hear that he invited us all up to his cabin to have a get together in the early snow?!?!
  17. Speaking of awesome rain amounts...where has our friend @Bubbler86 been lately?
  18. Who cares about Dallas or its football team!!! By the way, how ‘bout them Cowboys!!!!
  19. It’s also crazy to see the good possibility that the panhandles of Oklahoma & Texas, and most of Kansas, could see their first snow in the next couple of days.
  20. The 12z Euro looks interesting for the coastal storm system later this week. The northern tier & central mountains of PA could see their first snow of the season.
  21. This system has my attention as well. It’s time for me to get into winter storm tracking shape! We might need to do an early snow chase to the home of our poster near Clearfield.
