Yes, same thing in Marysville this afternoon! We are officially on the board with first snow flakes of the year!

Yes indeed! I had a company come to my house today to clean our gutters. Their ladder fell and made a crazy loud sound. I thought for sure that I would be calling 9-1-1, but it was just the ladder that fell and not the guy. It did strand 2 guys on my roof, but I was able to hoist the ladder back up for them to get down! That wind meant business!

This was an over performing event. Hopefully we get a few over performers during the winter this season!

It was absolutely beautiful! I got a couple of outside projects finished up. The next 2 days look great as well. Wednesday looks likely to be a wash out.

Yes, exactly! Cold in early to mid November usually does us no good in the snow department in the Susquehanna Valley. I too will be rooting for a pattern change closer to Thanksgiving when a colder pattern can have a better chance to produce some snow.

Yes, the snow event yesterday in New England was impressive. There are some good pictures in their obs thread. I agree that it will be interesting to see how the strength of the Niña evolves over the next couple of months. Like you mentioned, other factors like the NAO and MJO will always be a factor. It would be great to have a chance of getting a storm similar to yesterday take place in another month or so in CTP. Our winter tracking time is coming soon. I am happy that we get to change the clocks soon so that the weather models will come out 1 hour earlier! I am looking forward to asking, “who is staying up for the Euro!”

I thought that it might soon be time to put my lawn mower away after I cut the grass last weekend. This rain followed by a few warmer days upcoming later this week might mean that I might need to do one final mowing.

That’s great! I only need a 30 mile shift south to get into the “snow probable” zone! This is my new favorite forecaster!
