  1. This post tonight from @Bob Chill made me smile… “ I wasn't being super specific with the analogs as I'm more interested in the entire upcoming 2-3 weeks. Not just the upper air progs on d11. That analog list is loaded with good winter wx in the east in general. That upper air pattern looks beautiful and when setups like this come along, it usually last for a while. If things play out as it looks now, there's going to be multiple threats to track. Seems like it wants to snow here for some reason too. Weird.”
  2. Suddenly after all of the doom & gloom of the warm December, MDT is now sitting at 6.6 inches of snow for the season. Normal snow for the season through today is 6.8 inches, so all of a sudden, MDT is only .2 behind for the season! All it takes sometimes is one storm to get a snow season back on track.
  3. The 12z GFS looks loaded with Winter Storm potential in week 2. The end of the 12z Canadian looks like an incoming Gulf storm on day 10 when the run ends. After a brief lull in the action after our Sunday ice, the pattern the next few weeks should keep us very busy in here.
  4. 4.5 inches of snow in Marysville as final measurement. 26 degrees currently.
  5. Looking beyond tonight, the 0z GFS has a few more chances of snow during the next 15 days.
  6. Roads caved in Marysville in the last hour with snow rate increasing.
  7. Great, I lurked for a few years before I joined! @paweather has another Lebanon county person on here now!
  8. MDT at 8 pm had 1.50 vis. Light snow and 29/24. I am extra interested in MDT this event with the contest on the line!
  9. 30/25 in Marysville with light snow picking up. Car tops caved.
  10. The radar looks sweet with snow stretching back to Tennessee!
  11. Very light flurries just started in Marysville! Snow blower is now in position & ready. I waited until tonight so I would not be accused of jinxing anything! Lets do this!!!
  12. Lunch time snow day post! 3.9 snow .29 precip Need to factor in the MDT take off patterns…Hopefully the Observer has a good day!
  13. 6z Euro has a little uptick from 0z for Harrisburg & York,
  14. Here is some of the CTP discussion today. Latest ensemble mean qpf, combined with WPC mean snow ratios in the 12-15/1 range, support snow totals tonight ranging from less than an inch north of I-80, to around 4 inches over Somerset and Bedford counties. As for timing, latest hi-res guidance indicates snow will develop across the southwest part of the forecast area by dusk, then rapidly overspread the rest of the area during the evening hours.
  15. The 6z NAMs have figured out how things work around here… Rouzerville & Cashtown win. MDT does well too.
  16. The 6z GFS still looks good too. Kuchera map Lancaster county jackpot.
