  1. 6z GFS is beautiful at 500 with the ridge axis near Boise and the energy gathering in the Southeast.
  2. Good morning! I will gladly lose Tuesday if it means that we get the coastal goods next weekend! The 6z GFS delivered! Maps coming soon..
  3. The 0z GFS still has southern PA snow on Tuesday pm despite the northern & southern stream not getting together this run. Again, I would take another light Advisory level event.
  4. The GFS, Euro & ICON all have a LSV bullseye for the little Sunday night Clipper. i would mind a quick 1 to 2 inches of snow to start the week and to freshen up the snow piles.
  5. We have 3 chances at snow this coming week and it snowed twice this week that is just ending. MDT is within 1 inch of normal average snow for the season to date. This January has been great for this Winter weather fan and the best may be yet to come soon.
  6. It does have the local jackpots right with Rouzerville & Cashtown! This run includes my yard too…so I’ll take it.
  7. Hopefully this weekend we are tracking events in the short, medium & long term. Sunday, Tuesday & next weekend…let’s line up those snow train cars!
  8. Let’s do this…this storm in some form should hit somewhere on the east coast….why not CTP!?!?
  9. 96 in Harrisburg had the historic Blizzard, then the Clipper a couple of days later that gave another solid 3 or 4 inches, & then the second coastal storm a few days later that brought nearly 1 more foot of snow. We had about 40 inches of snow in 1 week combined!
  10. That’s about how much snow that I got in Marysville this morning.
  11. Yes please! According to the Mid Atlantic thread, the 18z GEFS looked really good for this time period.
  12. Moderate snow in Marysville with car tops covered. Roads transitioning from slush to lightly snow covered.
  13. Snow in Marysville but not sticking to any surfaces yet. Current temp is 35
  14. For Tuesday, the 6z GFS shows the northern & southern stream interact to bring us a light to moderate snow event. The Canadian was just northern stream, basically a Clipper.
  15. Here are CTP’s thoughts in their am discussion: NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM THIS EVENING/... First wave moving off to the east and taking the light rain over the SE with it. A stronger short wave trough will move up through WV and nrn VA by morning. This will bring in a second batch of precip. By that time, almost everyone across the srn tier will be cold enough to have snow or a rain/snow mix for an hour or so before going to plain snow. Onset of snow still looks like 5-6AM for the SE, and some moderate rates (<1"/hr) are likely thru mid-morning. Keeping the forecast solid with 1-2" totals for most and a sprinkling of 3" numbers in there for the higher elevs SE of I-81. Temps across the entire CWA look like they will waggle only a couple of degrees all day long.
  16. Radar is juicing up & back filling across south central PA, Hopefully we get a few hours of snow this morning.
