  1. You will probably double climo this year. This recent climate regime has been very friendly to the shoreline relative to norm. When you get 30" again its gonna seem like a garbage winter, lol.
  2. Depends on which vendor snowmap you're referring too. A TT map showing 11 including sleet near us is garbage. Without looking at soundings TT looked warmer at 700 vs 850 on the regional maps. We could conceivably get a few inches and than pound sleet. Maybe enough lift to offset could get us 4-6. Would hesitate going much higher.
  3. Nam is a bit less aggressive with the front end thump but also a bit E with the coastal low and colder at the surface through 54.
  4. Don't see it based on current data. 3 inches of snow and a layer of ip/zr than rain is an advisory type event unless the cold overperforms. Maybe the berks.
  5. Yeah I went back and looked barely 4 here. 3-4 range around town higher south and east. Still good for early Nov.
  6. Nail biter here to, will we get 1 or 1.25 in inch of rain. The anxiety is killing me.
  7. I'm pretty sure Enfield got skunked too on the snow killing dry are funneling down the valley, if my memory serves me correctly 4 to 5 inches up this way.
  8. Depends on the area. Some parts of the valley have more leaves left than others like in downtown HFD down to Rocky Hill area but yeah the leaves are coming down quickly now. I'd go with low 40's for gusts here, enough to cause some minor damage and scattered power outages but nothing widespread. Perhaps Kevin can hit 46-48 and post the obligatory pic of a tree down and road closure in Tolland on some hilly winding road with very few houses and claim that all hell is breaking loose.
  9. Yes, your Mid Atlantic experience and gratitude will be good in helping us keep the right perspective here in the valley, we usually get shadowed or shafted in certain events but it's all relative to climo. Still hell of a lot better than DCA. Even in 03 with 75 inches some would have been envious of ORH with around 110 or so I believe but 75 is well above the average of 48 at BDL and a very good winter.
  10. Yeah I was that way on route 2 and 11 earlier and things were going by but further south on 82 towards Waterford and New London there was still color and some green .
  11. Parts of the CT River valley further south are still at peak, Enfield seems a bit past now after the storm bur still some good color in spots. The S coast is mainly approaching or at peak and the higher hill towns of interior and especially northern CT seem to be mainly past peak.
  12. 1.3 recorded one street over from here. Most wind gusts were 25-30 mph at the height of the storm so no big deal as usual around here with the winds.
  13. NW MA getting some snow in the east slopes of northern Berks
  14. That is probably the best I've seen around here. Nice shot.
  15. I will agree but it seems more inconsistent and less cohesive than our good years, it just didn't seem to come together as well as our more memorable seasons. This weekend's rain and wind should finish things off for many.
  16. Lol. You better have plenty of overdraft protection if you're taking that POS to the bank.
  17. 23.4 for the low. The cold had me moving as I ran my fastest mile at 6 min 3 seconds.
  18. Lol. I ponder sometimes what it would be like living up there, my wife does not want to move any further north and we enjoy the very convenient location we live in with access to pretty much any type of box department store or restaurant you could think of, but man its beautiful up there and I feel so relaxed. The cabin gets passed on to me and my sister down the road when my parents passed so I plan on it always being a part of my life.
  19. Nice I was just up there over the weekend had some good grub at Tracy's Kountry Kitchen on my way to my last visit to the Gifford's in Farmington for the year. We just closed up the cabin on flying Pond for the season.
  20. Did you guys get any kind of a light accumulation in the New Sharon Vienna Mount Vernon area?
