I would think the higher plateau of the east slopes of the Berks, in towns like Windsor, Savoy, Peru , Florida, etc would probably have some homes, lots near 2K as well. I believe the Town Green in Windsor Mass is at about 2031 feet.
It was decent around here although no real damage locally, the shelf cloud and lightning strikes were impressive and we had a couple of power flashes. Multiple trees down on North Branch parkway in Springfield, MA. Also multiple trees reported down in New Hartford and Litchfield Connecticut.
BOX: At 1:32 this afternoon, Bradley International Airport hit 90°F for the first time this year, making it the first of our climate sites to meet such benchmark in 2021. The last time BDL saw 90 was 8/25/2020
84 around here today after 86 yesterday. Warm but no '90s and this is pretty much the hottest place in Connecticut in this setup.
Edit:. I do see some PWS stations at 86-87 in the lower elevations of the Farmington valley in Northern Connecticut but further west than here with a bit less clouds and ocean influence this morning.
Yeah this thing decided to hit us on the way out the door. My wife and daughter spiked a high fever and my wife and son a cough, now they're all improving. We have been cautious with the vaccine for several reasons ,thankfully this does not look to severely impact us going forward.
Nice fast drop here as well on most calm nights. Windows are already open. Nearby PWS shows the cliff drop nicely. That temp spike to 90 just before 6 was definitely a sun taint issue as most places topped off in the 85-86 range around here. Already in the mid 60's.
Were getting pretty close to full leaf out now in this part of the valley. We are always ahead of most areas here , but it has slowed here the past couple weeks During my travels this spring, leaf out was the quickest right down in Southwest Connecticut and then in the Connecticut River Valley. The Hills always look like they're a week or two behind. I was up in Maine last week and our family cabin 22 miles NW of AUG looked like it was about 3 weeks behind. Driving home through the mountains last Wednesday , looked like it was about 6 weeks behind in Phin's area , mainly brown with tiny buds and the snow covered tops of the Presidentials in the backdrop.
