  1. comes through on the 18Z GFS next weekend. Id take that blocking high and southern solution rather than a washout. Probably wrong but hope it's right.
  2. BOX: At 1:32 this afternoon, Bradley International Airport hit 90°F for the first time this year, making it the first of our climate sites to meet such benchmark in 2021. The last time BDL saw 90 was 8/25/2020
  3. Memorial Day weekend, especially the first half looks like it's on shaky ground on some current guidance, we needto come through in the clutch.
  4. 86 here despite the clouds. KFIT leading the pack at 89.
  5. We were in the mid 80s the past two days but did not sniff 90.
  6. 84 around here today after 86 yesterday. Warm but no '90s and this is pretty much the hottest place in Connecticut in this setup. Edit:. I do see some PWS stations at 86-87 in the lower elevations of the Farmington valley in Northern Connecticut but further west than here with a bit less clouds and ocean influence this morning.
  7. Yeah this thing decided to hit us on the way out the door. My wife and daughter spiked a high fever and my wife and son a cough, now they're all improving. We have been cautious with the vaccine for several reasons ,thankfully this does not look to severely impact us going forward.
  8. Have to be way inland for the torch today. 81 here.
  9. Perhaps a few torch spots touch 90 on the northwest flow Sunday.
  10. Nice fast drop here as well on most calm nights. Windows are already open. Nearby PWS shows the cliff drop nicely. That temp spike to 90 just before 6 was definitely a sun taint issue as most places topped off in the 85-86 range around here. Already in the mid 60's.
  11. 85 here. Sunny, warm and dry with a breeze. Won't make 90 but 87 range is possible.
  12. Down to 35 with patchy Frost in my location in Enfield last night
  13. Were getting pretty close to full leaf out now in this part of the valley. We are always ahead of most areas here , but it has slowed here the past couple weeks During my travels this spring, leaf out was the quickest right down in Southwest Connecticut and then in the Connecticut River Valley. The Hills always look like they're a week or two behind. I was up in Maine last week and our family cabin 22 miles NW of AUG looked like it was about 3 weeks behind. Driving home through the mountains last Wednesday , looked like it was about 6 weeks behind in Phin's area , mainly brown with tiny buds and the snow covered tops of the Presidentials in the backdrop.
  14. Yeah lol, maybe dews nip 50 in a few spots.
  15. I'm keeping an eye on Saturday myself. Coastal storm looks to stay south but still a trough and northern stream disturbance and possibly scattered showers and storms and more seasonably mild temps? Haven't looked carefully but that seemed liked first glance.
  16. 77 here. Definitely could have hit 80 to 82 with less cloud cover.
  17. 71 here despite only being 55 at 12:30.
  18. Heavy snow squalls driving down 91 through Hartford, lol.
  19. I do believe there was enough coverage of snowfall to warrant an advisory in eastern Hampden and Northern Tolland and Windham counties and there should have been some wording to highlight potential for higher amounts in the highest elevations.
  20. The range in eastern Hampden county went from trace in Springfield at the Connecticut River to 12 in Wales. I've seen box put Western Franklin, Hampshire, and Hampden counties in a separate advisory but never the far eastern portion because it's only a couple of towns.
  21. Yikes looks like it's up to 37 at home. Glad I got to see something this morning.
  22. Not sure why Greenfield at 400 ft plus could not flip even with better rates When I left for work this morning there was probably close to an inch on some grassy surfaces at 150'. According to my phone it's been rain/snow mix in Enfield all morning since I left with temperatures around 34 to 35 degrees. Not sure anything will be left by the time I get home later.
  23. Wow as soon as I went a mile west of my house towards interstate 91 the snow vanished rapidly. I'm on 91 South in Windsor locks and there is absolutely nothing.
