  1. 94 here for the high. Humidity was tolerable along with a decent breeze in the afternoon. Great day for the kids to swim with their cousins for hours at Meme's pool while the adults chat, eat and have a couple of adult beverages. True summer vibe today.
  2. 93 here. Dews near 60 and a breeze.
  3. BAF up to 90 with the downslope off the Berks I always like that section of the Pike where you Drop from like 1400' in Blandford to 200' in Westfield, ears popping from the elevation change, steep grade signs, trucks with flashers on in the right lane, and the runaway truck ramp at the bottom, usually about a 6 or 7 degree temp difference in that short stretch outside of CAD or inversion setups. I've hit some pretty dramatic rain to snow transitions there as well.
  4. 88 here now. Should have no problem hitting 90. The Rev is 83 I could see him hit 86 up on the hill. Perhaps tomorrow or Monday he gets his 90.
  5. 71 for the high here, sorry to all those who were stuck in the 60s with showers and misery mist. Barely more than a couple sprinkles during the daylight hours here and a few peaks of sun mixed in. With dews in the 60s it had an late Spring /early Summer vibe.
  6. I will never forget that day. Incredible excitement tracking the synoptic setup turning to sheer dread after seeing the city I spent 20 years of my life directly in the path of a EF-3 tornado. Initially unable to get ahold of my parents, who missed the tornado by 1 mile in Forest Park Springfield, but relieved to find out they were out and unable to find a path home but were safe. It took longer to hear from by brother in law's parents, who missed it by about .3 miles in Sixteen Acres Springfield. My Mom's cousin's house lost a roof near Plumtree Road. My wife was so pissed that I left her at 9 months pregnant to go run to Springfield while there was still severe weather and tornado warnings even after the initial tornado, but I had to see the damage and try to find out more. I still drive through the tornado scarred areas somewhat regularly. Never ceases to amaze me.
  7. I would think the higher plateau of the east slopes of the Berks, towns like Windsor, Savoy, Peru , Florida, etc would probably have some homes near 2K as well. Edit: found a house at 2,100 ft 1095 North St, Windsor, MA 01270 House is for sale. Not bad for MA
  8. I would think the higher plateau of the east slopes of the Berks, in towns like Windsor, Savoy, Peru , Florida, etc would probably have some homes, lots near 2K as well. I believe the Town Green in Windsor Mass is at about 2031 feet.
  9. It was decent around here although no real damage locally, the shelf cloud and lightning strikes were impressive and we had a couple of power flashes. Multiple trees down on North Branch parkway in Springfield, MA. Also multiple trees reported down in New Hartford and Litchfield Connecticut.
  10. Pretty freaking good lighting and rain storm here, and long duration. A couple of strong gusts but not overly impressive in the wind department.
  11. Wow this is tough to read. My deepest sympathy and condolences to all those affected. Just a terrible loss and at such a young age.
  12. That was an ugly run for the holiday weekend.
  13. Picked up about .10 on a nearby PWS.
  14. Mostly cloudy here already and 78
  15. 80 here off of high of 90. Straight up summer. https://youtu.be/Kr0tTbTbmVA
  16. comes through on the 18Z GFS next weekend. Id take that blocking high and southern solution rather than a washout. Probably wrong but hope it's right.
  17. BOX: At 1:32 this afternoon, Bradley International Airport hit 90°F for the first time this year, making it the first of our climate sites to meet such benchmark in 2021. The last time BDL saw 90 was 8/25/2020
  18. Memorial Day weekend, especially the first half looks like it's on shaky ground on some current guidance, we needto come through in the clutch.
