  1. Interestingly enough, I checked the data from the nearby PWS and it's also missing May 9th to 18th. Basically shows the exact same data for all those days. 5.42 is the total for the month.
  2. You've got me beat here after today. 30.75 at a nearby PWS here in Enfield, just sick amounts of rain. Between the summer flooding and the severe storm last week it's been a pretty memorable season already, throw in a stalled cane that gets too close and we may be in deep sheet.
  3. On my way home now but from what I can tell looks like only about 3" in my area vs 5-6 just SE. You know it's bad when your commenting on only 3".
  4. Storm damage around town. Had a few more photos that exceed the upload size. Most concentrated areas seems to be on route 5 and near to just south of 190.
  5. Damage and sirens and flooding here. Incredible lightning to boot. Awesome storm.
  6. Managed to hit 96 just before 4:00 here with a late rise, BAF as well. HI 103-104.
  7. There's some storms forming further south near POU that should make their way into CT.
  8. Seems pretty meh around here. 94/71 is hot but not excessive heat warning material. Was thinking we could pull 98 or 99 today but doubting that now.
  9. That's plausible if one is travelling more on the S/SE side of the Enfield. 140 does curve north and intersects 191 quite close to the south side of Enfield. Coming from 84, I usually get off further NE in Union and take 190 and than cut up Somers Rd in Somers up to 220 to get to my area of Enfield. There has also been construction delays on 190 in Stafford and Waze has been rerouting traffic at times. He's right that Tolland/ Ellington are more rural/suburban towns, downright country in some areas , but also pretty scenic. It's definitely a bit longer for me, but I enjoy driving that route sometimes to reminisce and enjoy the scenery as we drive by our old place in Ellington.
  10. Yeah I'm fine with that on Thursday. Modeling had been creeping west with the initial wave on Wednesday but I think that stays offshore, or at least east of CT. Probably not ideal beach weather on Wednesday in CT with the clouds and NE flow but as long as it's not a washout I'll take it.
  11. I have a beach day planned on Wednesday near Madison Connecticut. Is that wave of low pressure going to keep trending closer? The rain shield seems to be inching closer with every model run
  12. Summary July 1, 2021 - July 31, 2021 High Low Average Temperature 91.9 °F 55.6 °F 70.3 °F Dew Point 80.8 °F 54.9 °F 66.6 °F Humidity 99 % 40 % 90 % Precipitation 18.03 In This is from an ambient weather station on the south side of Forest Park.
  13. Not sure if this is all 100% accurate , especially high temps when the sensors get a bit extra sun and dews tend to run a bit high at times compared to BDL, CEF, etc but this is the closest closest PWS in my area of Enfield in July. Definitely the wettest month since I've been living here for sure. July 1, 2021 - July 31, 2021 High Low Average Temperature 95.0 °F 55.4 °F 70.8 °F Dew Point 79.1 °F 54.0 °F 65.9 °F Humidity 99 % 35 % 86 % Precipitation 16.01 in
  14. Not surprised. I know the outflow cooled air was gonna kill things up here. My sister in Windsor should be getting a good storm.
  15. Outflow was better than the storm so far here
  16. Outflow winds were impressive, heard a couple of limbs crack next street over but we're down to 71 here now with sprinkles and a cool stiff N wind.
  17. Can definitely smell the smoke out there as well.
