  1. Already here in mby. .72" so far this month, with only 2.88" last month. No rain forecasted for next 2 weeks.
  2. I would be more than happy not to see 90's until June but I won't hold my breath.
  3. I have a question. My wife and I are heading to Colorado for a vacation this summer. We would go either in July or late August/early Sept. Airline tickets are much cheaper for the later than in July by several hundred dollars. Thing is I am now deftly worried about Hurricanes after last year but we so want to go. I know the fear is pretty much unfounded since the chance of getting a storm in any given year is slim but would you go and not worry about storms?
  4. I would have no issues with 50's and 60's for the rest of the month.
  5. What website does everyone use for radar? I used to use Intellicast but they went away and merged with wunderground which I find takes too long to load as it is very heavy with ads. I use weather.com now but do not like it's presentation too much on the computer. It is much better on my phone for some odd reason.
  6. Excitement I believe. Personally I hate severe weather much like I hate hurricanes but I do like tracking them. Whether it be strong straight line winds or hail. I love very heavy downpours and the dark clouds from them but that's it.
  7. Looks like it will just be a dry but cold week next week. All precip chances have been removed from our forecast.
  8. I am officially in the 2 inch range now but we need to the low to be a bit father to the southeast to bring the bigger totals and colder air my way.
  9. I lived in Virginia Beach and we ended up with about 16" or so with 6 foot drifts. Awesome 2 day storm. It would be incredible to get another just like it.
  10. Allergy season is getting earlier and earlier. Grass is growing, eyes are watering, sinuses are clogged, sneezing a go.
  11. I use the weather channel app. Have tried others but always end up going back to TWC.
  12. Right now it is a solid D for me but with the warmth of this week, it will probably drop to an F.
  13. Oh please, please. This would make my winter. Of course it probably will not happen.
  14. Just got back from a camping trip out by Morganton. Saw a few wet flakes on the drive up on Thursday between Winston-Salem and Statesville and again between Statesville and Morganton but that was it. Lots of rain on Saturday but woke up to clear skies and cool temps this morning. Had a great time but could have done without all the rain.
  15. I highly doubt we will ever see a March storm like that ever again.
  16. So far for me: 1. Nope 2. Nope - short one coming - 1 day and 2 nights 3. Nope 4. Nope Other than a chance of flurries early Monday morning, I don't see any real chances of snow, sleet, or freezing rain this month. Hope I am wrong but I don't think so.
  17. Speaking of cold, what would be the chances of ever seeing a cold outbreak like the one almost 34 years ago this coming weekend. http://www.markvoganweather.com/2015/12/06/a-look-back-super-arctic-outbreak-january-1985/
  18. I remember that year like it was yesterday. I lived in Virginia beach and we ended up with 18" with 6 foot drifts. I also remember getting over 40" that season. Most epic snow year ever. broke all kinds of records.
  19. Frigid temps follow storm with lows in the single digits, a repeat of early Jan last year. We shall see if it holds.
  20. We could only hope. It would be epic for all of us which means it is highly likely it will not happen.
