Just had a nice severe warned storm move thru with heavy rain and pea sized hail. First hail I have seen in many years. Picked up .49" real quick. Also dropped our temp from 75 to 65.
EDIT: 2nd severe warned storm came thru and boy did it get dark but only got some wind and rain out of it. Total from both storms .65"
And to go to 2 stores just to find some chicken. All lunch meat, bacon, potatoes and of course toilet paper are gone. I found the toilet paper at a hardware store.
40 years ago today. Who remembers the blizzard of March 1980? I lived in Virginia Beach at the time and we had around 15" with drifts up to 6 feet. It was the most snow I had ever seen until 1996. https://www.wral.com/40-years-ago-today-20-inches-of-snow-in-eastern-nc/18987680/?fbclid=IwAR2ltD6_LoJHnR8FGqDBglz1yIlQ_75h8JDqSRH8DmrhJvwCuDvp_YfxVJk
I give it a solid F. Lack of any real cold. My lowest temp so far has only been 25. And only 1 inch of snow which was gone by morning. Horrible winter. Flowering trees are already blooming here.
What a horrible storm for us. Picked up 1.40" of rain followed by maybe an inch or 2 of snow, judging by looking out the window at 2 am, but by dawn most of it has melted.
That is exactly what I am thinking. My area will be lucky to see low's in the 20's again. This is looking like it may be the first winter in some time that I don't see temps fall below 25 much less 20.
